About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Golfer Reviews
Pleasant Afternoon Round
Course play fair and is in excellent condituion. Facilities are comfortable and location is easily accessed from US 23
Course in great condition
The course is in great shape, especially the greens. We were the first ones off and were warned about pressuring the mowers. After the first hole, we did not see them (but then perhaps they they shouldn't allow the times that early). Not a big issue
Redo well done.
This course has changed dramatically since the redesign a few years ago. Front nine is great, back only so-so. Great condition and values to be had. Friendly staff!
Excellent Greens
We have played this course many times and we have not seen it in this kind of shape. The greens were as good as I have ever seen them. This course is a great value and well worth the play!
Slow play
Overall a good course, but slow play ahead of us and did not allow to play through.
Excellent condition
Greens are especially good and fast. Front nine from different designer, back nine more typical old ohio course.
Excellent golf course
Most enjoyable day on the golf course. CC layout
and in great condition. Very challenging in every
respect. A local member was playing as a single and joined us after nine which made it more enjoyable as he shared local knowledge.
Nice course!!!
Delaware Rocks
Great course, front and back are completely different types of golf...18 holes for $30-$35 dollars at this place is a steal. John the pro does things right, always friendly and courteous.
Nice
Nice round at a nice place. So much better than Glenn Ross
Favorite so far!
Have played a half dozen courses in the northern part of Colimbus since moving here and this was by far my favorite. Course conditions were country club quality, staff and check in was quick and friendly. Food could be a little better for choices, but it's a golf course. Played for $40 on an early Saturday afternoon on Fathers Day weekend. Fun layout, but challenging. Back nine is better than front, only because of the houses on the front. A definite must play in Delaware county!
Best greens you can play in Ohio.
A must to play if you are in the area. White tees are easy but the Blue tees will test a low HDC golfer.
U.S. Kids Preview
My 13-year old grandson and I played the course, his first time and my second time. He will be playing in a tournament the following week at Delaware Golf Course and our time together helped him to understand the nature of the course. I will be his caddie for the tournament and I am sure I can observed my grandson's strategy to play the course well.
Great course
Great layout! I thought the course was in great shape. The back nine was very challenging.
DGC must play in c-bus!!!
Friendly staff! Great layout! The course was in excellent shape
Great Course Just Outside of I-270
We got a GolfNow deal for $30 each for golf and cart. Really a great price for this amazing course. We played Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, and thanks to all of the parties (Graduation/Memorial Day/Weddings/etc.) there was nobody else on the course. We teed off around 3:00pm and so nobody else the entire time.
The first 9 is by far the better half of this course. The first time I was weaving in-and-out of neighborhood streets to play a golf course, but it made it very interesting and fun to briefly chat with the locals outside partying in their yards as we drove by in the golf cart. The fairways and the greens were in perfect condition. I'm not sure how you have healthy grass cut so short, but everything was moving quickly. The greens made this course quite difficult because the gentlest of putts sent the ball rolling for a good while.
The back 9 was also fun, but nothing like the first. For a few holes there is no cart path that we could find, maybe we just missed it. The houses of the neighborhood disappear and it feels like you're in the woods and wilderness (with US-23 popping out of nowhere).
Overall we had a most amazing day of golf, and we will be back.
Hidden Gem
Amazing!!!!! Hidden Gem!!!! Will definitely play again in the near future. Grea course layout.
Great Course, Incredible Pace of Play
Course is always fun. Not crazy challenging but has some creative holes and can be narrow in places.
It was a Thursday afternoon but totally unheard of in Central Ohio to play in 3 1/2 hours. So NICE.
