Glenross Golf Course
About
Glenross Golf Club seamlessly blends elements of traditional design with more modern features. Formerly known as Tanglewood Golf Course, five new holes were added in an extensive renovation. The original 13 holes were also redesigned from tee to green. The mature oak trees were carefully maintained though and still come into play along the fairways in addition to the hundreds of trees that were added. The gentle hills provide rolling fairways and undulating greens that demand accuracy. There are seven ponds and a meandering creek that come into play throughout as well as some 50 sand traps strategically placed along the greensides. Glenross Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 14th, which requires a carry over water to a small green but the most difficult hole comes earlier. The par-4 fifth has towering trees to the left, bunkers to the right, and a creek crossing the fairway.

Great Value, Excellent Pace
Even for the end of the season the course was in good shape. We played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours and the groups behind us were keeping up. The greens were fast and the rough was challenging. For $28 you can't beat it!
Coarse in very good shape for this time of year.
Very windy day, but great to play on November 4th.
Glen Ross
Glen Ross is a course that you can score well on if you keep your ball in play. It is fairly short, but some of the greens are fairly tough, particularly if you are above the hole. Looked like the greens have been aerated a week or so ago, but they were rolling just fine. Fairways, tees and bunkers were all in good shape. We played at 9:30am and finished in 3.5 hours.
First time for 30 years!
Played here for the first time since 1986, when the course was still 'Tanglewood', nine holes and without bordering homes.
We played badly, but no fault of the course, which was in good condition, despite recent aeration. We especially enjoyed the back nine conditioning, although there were a number of very 'challenging' pin position throughout the round.
Would come back, but not a course to walk.
Nice, just don't play it when they are aerating.
Crew that was doing the aerating was rude. Blowing dirt directly at us. Had to have a few words with them.
Great Course with Challenging Greens
Great well kept course. Greens were recently aerated and still fast. Can't imagine how fast the greens are in pristine condition. Course well maintained and surprisingly very little leaves on the course for the time of year. Will be back!
Glenross
The course was in excellent shape and the staff was great. I love this course. I used Golfnow.com and got a great price. I will be back many times to play this course.
review title
Course is a little short from the white tees. Rough is deceptively thick and pin placement can make the greens tough to put. I love the course. Great value at $30 or under.
Had to play it twice
Glenross is a well designed course with plenty of speed on the greens. The traps and water hazards are in good condition and placed nicely. The first time I played, I made the mistake of underestimating the speed of the greens and paid the price. The second time was much better as I played shallow approaches and halved my normal putting speed. Plenty of chances to enjoy the game.
Very enjoyable experience
Course in great condition, very quick greens, took 4 hrs.
Ok...not a challenge.
Good course.....not worth the premium price. Would be better if it was $10 cheaper and I would play more often and recommend to friends.
Great course for Intermediate Golfers
The front 9 has some challenging holes, challenging greens and tee locations. Fairways are relatively easy to hit, lots of tall grass just off fairways like a links course. Overall had my best round of golf here shooting a 37 on back 9. Very pleased.
Plays great
I played numerous courses (more than 10) in the area and found Glenross to be most enjoyable. Good and forgiving fairways, good size greens, and pleasant surroundings made this course a memorable experience. Highly recommend.
Nice course
This was an enjoyable round. The most challenging part of the round was competing with the powerful winds that wanted to pick me up off of the ground. That's unusual for the area and by no means a knock on the course itself.
With clean fairways, nice sand, and thick rough, the course really rewarded good shots but allowed misses to be recovered. The greens were my only complaint, as they were extremely hard and fast. The spin I put on my irons should keep the ball within a foot of my divot, but these greens wouldn't even hold my ball! Constantly I was punished despite pin-high shots with my ball bouncing off of the green and into the rough.
The layout was certainly strange as well. Not a course to be walked. Despite the complaint about the greens, a very enjoyable experience overall. Definitely recommended.
Easy fairways/challenging greens
Not a lot of obstacles , just enough. The hole placement is what makes this course challenging.
great course
From booking a tee time to playing the the course it was a great experience
Well kept
Friendly staff with excellent course conditions. Only downside is the construction of homes near hole 2
Great Greens
Friendly staff, Greens were in great shape and speed of play was a little slow, but it was a holiday. A little short for my game, but the course was I great shape.
Fun challenging course
I love playing Glen Ross. It's a very nice course, often very busy because of it. Definitely worth it when you can get a great deal on here. They have my favorite score cards by far with an overview of each hole, tips and tricks and an area to make notes. nice challenging course.
great shape
really enjoyed now nice the course looked, and it played just as well. all aspects (tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers) in great shape and visually very attractive.
