Glenross Golf Course
About
Glenross Golf Club seamlessly blends elements of traditional design with more modern features. Formerly known as Tanglewood Golf Course, five new holes were added in an extensive renovation. The original 13 holes were also redesigned from tee to green. The mature oak trees were carefully maintained though and still come into play along the fairways in addition to the hundreds of trees that were added. The gentle hills provide rolling fairways and undulating greens that demand accuracy. There are seven ponds and a meandering creek that come into play throughout as well as some 50 sand traps strategically placed along the greensides. Glenross Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 14th, which requires a carry over water to a small green but the most difficult hole comes earlier. The par-4 fifth has towering trees to the left, bunkers to the right, and a creek crossing the fairway.

Nice course
Pace of play was the slowest I have seen since Glenross but usually this is not an issue at this course. Golf Now deal changed, I purchased 3 players for $25, then the one player for the same tee time changed to $19 the next day, so not sure why that happened. Course was in great shape, you have to hit fairways on this course otherwise the rough will eat you up which makes the course more challenging since it is a fairly short course. Love playing this course and hope to always play it a few times a year. They do have nice banquet space if you ever wanted to have an outing with a group of people, one inside and outide, so that is a plus.
Two courses in one
The front nine is like a traditional course with mature trees and tough greens. The back nine is more like a links course with houses around. The back nine is shorter and it is easier to post a good score
Glenross
One of my favorite courses. Great value for a fun, quality track.
Nice course and price.
I really enjoyed my round. Course, clubhouse and staff were great.
Beautiful layout
A friend and I played 18 holes on Tuesday July 22nd. We were paired with two other golfers who were very friendly. We played the white tees and found the course to play quite short. We will probably move to blue tees next time. We made it around in approximately 3 1/2 hours and had a great time. Love the greens as they will hold and they putted true.
Challenge
No waiting & very friendly staff & continuo presence of staff at course to see your need & ready for help as needed
Nice course, always in great condition.
This course is always in good shape, and as a value for the money paid, compared to other local courses. Today's round was no different. Greens were in great shape, fairways were good, and the rough made it just challenging enough.
Help Wanted "Ranger"
Play regularly and like all the other New Era courses the lack of a starter / ranger can ruin your experience. Call ahead on weeknights to avoid getting stuck behind league players. Solid course, fairways are open and the greens are usually nicely maintained.
Solid
Haven't played here in a few years and wanted to check it out again. Great deal on GolfNow.com. We played from the blue tees, which was appropriate for our 15-20 handicaps. Fairways were well maintained, rough was rough and greens rolled true. I would have give Glenross 5 stars except for the following: people need to fix their marks on the green and divots in the fairways. Staffers were friendly enough and need to ask that of the golfers. Overall, hope to play again soon!
Nice course, greens not the best
Played this course many times over the years. It's very forgiving. I was disappointed in the condition of the greens. Compared to previous years, they were pretty "chewed up". Maybe they are getting a lot more play but management is not keeping up with what they were in previous years. They have upped the prices since they became a part of "New Era Golf" but the prices are getting to the point that they are not in line with the course conditions, in my opinion. I would not pay the full price for playing here but it's worth the discounted price. Blackhawk Golf club is a better value for their price.
$35 on a Saturday? Best deal in the north side!
Fun golf course, great pace of play. Played early so were fighting with the maintenance crew for a few holes, but nothing crazy. This course would have 5 stars all around if they would rake and fill their bunkers. They are horrible. Also, if you lose a ball in the rough, good luck! Lost at least half dozen balls off the tee
"That were in bounds" in the secondary rough. Very hard to find and grass was pretty long. Will definitely be back though!
Service
My buddy and I got all 18 holes in after teeing off at 545pm. After, we went into the clubhouse to have a few beers and the staff was so friendly. They had reasonable drink prices and great beer prices plus a great pool table.
New Favorite
Very nice course in great shape, except for the bunkers (there was a lot of rain in the days leading up to our round). Challenging enough for the average golfer. Excellent value. Definitely will play again and recommend to others.
Great course but poor pace of play.
I've been to the course a few times now but this was the second time there was no enforcement of pace in play. We had spoke to the group in front of us and group behind us. All groups knew who the problem group was and we eventually called the club house to do something about it. That point in time they did speed up the slow group a bit but we caught them again and waited again. Just over 5 hours to play 18 holes is where we ended up. Unacceptable for the cost paid to play there. Course was well maintained and staff seems friendly but poorly managed.
Good course- only 2 par 5s
Course was in great shape. Decent yardage from the tips with only two par 5s. Other guests were rather rude but course staff was friendly.
The course is very scenic
The course is in good condition! The people
at the pro shop very friendly. It was a perfect
day as it was sunny and 74. I played with
a nice young fellow and although we were
just two and waited a lot we still played in
four hours.
Nice day
Good condition
Course is in good condition and the facilities are what you would expect from a typical country club. That said, it is over priced without GolfNow and a bit short even from the tips.
Dont play while the rangers are away
Got stuck behind a 4 some of drunk guys that refused to let us play through when i called into the shop nobody was there so it took 3hrs to play the back as we caught them on #12
Great Choice!!
Was only able to play one course while in Columbus...so I researched and researched...made a great decision!!! This course was perfect for our game and level of experience. It was challenging enough yet I felt like I managed some holes rather well. The only downfall was the wind (Nothing to do with the course) It was meticulously maintained. Greens were fast and it was just an overall great day of golf!!
Good Value
Paid $21, so it was a good value. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. The rough was up a bit and the course was wet.
A decent challenge but there are only two par 5's so par is 70.
The Weds. morning league in front of us was ridiculously slow. No players assistants to keep play moving.
Pretty short from the blue tees but I will go back at this price.
