Glenross Golf Course
About
Glenross Golf Club seamlessly blends elements of traditional design with more modern features. Formerly known as Tanglewood Golf Course, five new holes were added in an extensive renovation. The original 13 holes were also redesigned from tee to green. The mature oak trees were carefully maintained though and still come into play along the fairways in addition to the hundreds of trees that were added. The gentle hills provide rolling fairways and undulating greens that demand accuracy. There are seven ponds and a meandering creek that come into play throughout as well as some 50 sand traps strategically placed along the greensides. Glenross Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 14th, which requires a carry over water to a small green but the most difficult hole comes earlier. The par-4 fifth has towering trees to the left, bunkers to the right, and a creek crossing the fairway.

Decent Track with GolfNow
Really enjoy this course and layout. Played after a soaking rain so the bunkers were flooded. It also appears to continue to get a lot of play as there were tons of unfixed ball marks on the greens. The course plays short even from the tips, but the greens were challenging enough to keep things honest.
Easier than anticipated
This was a nice course, but you'll likely want to play from the blues or blacks to make the course more challenging. The greens were fast and difficult. Don't land in the bunkers.
Well maintained. Greens rolled very quickly. Rough was very thick and punishing
Fun course. Fairly short from the blue tees. If you stay in the fairway it's makes the course much easier. Greens did not hold many shots. Very quick especially for 6:30am. Played in 3 hours.
Nice Course
First time playing the course, I liked it and we had fun but the pace of play was really very slow. For a course this short, and a par 70, I would think it fairly easy to make it through in 4 hours, max. Our foursome was playing ok, not great, but we had to wait on every single hole - really made the experience challenging,
The greens are tricky and you need to keep the ball below the hole on almost every green. One of our foursome had a 30" putt above the hole that he literally just touched and started the ball moving and the ball went 14' past the hole. Yeah, a little challenging.
Nice fairways, lots of open space, good course - just don't pay full price and on a nice day, expect the pace of play to be slow.
a favorite!
Go there once and Ryan will remember your name and treat you like a celebrity on every subsequent visit. The course is always in amazing shape and just an all-around favorite!
Well-maintained course with nice layout.
Nice course and layout. Great deal with GolfNow discount, especially. Could have used a ranger to help keep pace of play closer to 4 hours, rather than over 4.5 hours. All in all, I would recommend it to others.
Nice but over played
Very nice course and layout. There were lots of people there which leads to me to believe the course had some condition issues due to lack of experience of the golfers. Lots of divots and ball marks were left behind. Over very nice and will play it again soon.
Nice Course
Really enjoy this course. It does get a lot of play though and there
Are lots of unfixed ball marks on the greens. Love the bent grass
Fairways and greens. Shot a 77 from the blue
Tees recently.
Great course, but try to avoid busy times.
This was a fantastic course with well maintained fairways and a variety of holes. I played on a Saturday evening and the pace was extremely slow, but on another day I am sure that it would be much better. I would highly recommend this course with a deal, but at face value the course is not worth the price. So grab a hot deal from Golf Now and head out and play.
Starter was great! Course was in good condition.
- would have liked to have had more yardage markers on the fairways/sprinkler heads.
- bunkers needed to be raked as they were still wet from either watering or overnight rainfall.
- first time to play this course - I will be back!!!
Nice
More challenging playing from the tips. Overall a nice course. Cheaper prices when using GolfNow.
Good track and usually in good shape.
Enjoy playing Glenross. Challenging enough for most golf golfers, but you can score if you play well
Good greens Boring layout. Tee times too close together!! Packed house full of Bad Golfers
Greens were in decent shape, rough was patchy, play was terribly SLOW. No rangers on GC keeping pace of play. Waited on every shot . Layout was average. If you can't get out anywhere else this place will do.
Surprise!!
Greens were fabulous, course visuals pretty. Good challenge for mid to high handicapper. This is a fine track!
Very nice course for players of all ability levels
This course is not very long, but it makes up for the lack of length with a lot of heather, bunkers, and water. It is a really fun course to play and is in great condition. Greens are fast and fairways are very fair. Go golf this course!
Course has been upgraded
I have played this course many times previously, but this was the first this year. It seemed to me that Tournament tees had been added. Also the greens were much more of a challenge than I remembered. The greens are now fast enough that the undulations are pronounced, and placement is truly important. Many tee boxes for all skill levels.
Nice course
greens rolled true and were in great shape.fun course where you can score but also a good amount of trouble
This course has a few challenging holes for average golfer in length and tough greens
Greens were well maintained so were the roughs.
Fairways were ok and drained casual water well.
Pin placement was as expected to maintain difficulty of the hole.
Very playable course, flat terrain, in nice shape
Glenross is fairly short and very playable. Built on flat ground, it has a nice mix of holes. In fairly good condition, it played in over 4 hours on a Sunday, mostly because of some mixed foursomes ahead of us
