High Point Golf Club
About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

Early spring round. Greens were good, fairways ok. Tee boxes need work. Bunkers a disaster. Good pace of play. Will be back.
Great
Great course to play nice greens and nice staff.
Fun!
Interesting course, winds through an older community and lakes. A good mix of challenging holes, many dogleg holes, forced carries over water and tricky greens.
Place is in decent shape, greens were rolling consistently, some tee boxes were chewed up.
Kind of out of the way, kind of "tired", but a great value. Food was really good, staff very friendly..
Get a Ranger!
In fairness, i will say we are not fast players, a round normally takes us 4 1/2 hours. That said, High Point - like so many other courses - is simply letting out too many players!
5 hours of playing and we were still WAITING to tee off at the 15th hole. And wait we did. We quit after 17, stowed our clubs and were pulling out before two groups in front of us finished the 18th.
We normally love this course, it's in pretty good shape considering its the end of August. (Except watching the idiot in front of us chew up the tee boxes and fairways with 3 practice shots for each stroke). We were also hit up on3 times before we said something to the teens behind us to back off.
As i said, we love the layout of this course, but won't play on the weekend there again until they either stop letting players out every 8 minutes or get some decent rangers out there to keep things proper.
No restrooms on course
Was disappointed. There’s no restrooms on the course anywhere. Otherwise the course is wonderful. I would play it again.
Management did a poor job of organizing during an aeration day. No cart person, no starter, no ranger, just one guy in pro shop who had players starting on different holes to stay ahead of aeration crew. The result was extremely slow play, waiting 10-20 minutes per hole. A group appeared out of nowhere in front of us on the 10th tee, must have cut in because no one was monitoring. Suggest that in the future the course should close for aeration like everyone else does.
