High Point Golf Club

About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

Great bang for the buck
I played here 3 times this month and I’d come back even though the drive is an hour and half for me.
Staff is very friendly and lax.
Not too many players out there so pace of place is great.
You won’t find any rangers to speed up play if you care about that stuff.
Maintenance wise , well you’re getting what you paid for.
Price is great but be prepared to lose some balls.
The cheap price and friendly/lax staffs is why I’d come back again.
Fairways don’t exist, tee boxes in awful condition.
The grass was as hard as concrete in almost all the holes
Up for the challenge
Lots of bends, twist and water that gives you a little of it all.
Only wish times were spaced out better as on busy days everyone is on top of everyone
What a fun Hidden Gem.
This golf course is off the beaten path but its worth the trip. I played at 4PM by myself. They didn't pair me up with anyone else and they did not seem very busy for a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I finished the round around 7PM. The starter and other staff were all very friendly and helpful with a walkthrough of the course before teeing off. I would recommend this course and will absolutely be coming back.
Nice lay out But
The staff is awesome but management needs to work on the condition of the course cart paths greens tee boxes bunkers we rock solid an not raked
HIGH POINT 1ST TIME
The price is right, and the course is very nice. We are beginner golfers. There was a lot of water to deal with--we lost a few balls to say the least. Just not worth the drive for us---little over an hour from N Jersey. If you close by give it a shot. People were nice, course was nice.
Fun or not
I love the course however it needs some work to be done for the dry and hard fairways. The greens rolled fairly well and the staff is great like always. The pace of play was ridiculous since it took ~5Hrs to play, this was the most excruciating part of the experience. Other than that it’s a great place to play.
