About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

Great course! Great staff!
Someone left a very unfair review of this terrific course. We all have bad days on the links, but ripping a course because of it is shameful. I play 200 rounds a year and always look forward to playing here. It’s an outstanding layout with challenging holes and fast, true greens. The food in the restaurant is delicious. You won’t find a nicer more laid back staff anywhere. I’m going back to play it again today!
Awful
Could have used a hammer to put my tees in the ground. Tee boxes were terrible. Fairways were lousy. Greens were hard as a rock with plenty of bad areas. Sand traps were rocky and hard. Overall one of the worst courses I have played in years. Obviously they are doing minimum to keep it operating. My buddy booked it, so at least I can't be blamed for bringing my friends there. Will never play again. Not worth the time it takes to play.
First time playing
We played this course while in the area and got it for 17.99 on a golf now deal. Getting to the course is really a pain. A bridge is out and it’s a heck of a drive to get to the course. I asked an employee about the bridge and he said it’s been out for as long as he could remember.
The employees were super nice and gave a pretty good layout of the course, since it was our first time playing it. Good thing they did, because it was in and out of houses and down streets.
The course was decent, no one fixes divots apparently and some tee boxes were lacking. And very very tight course.
I personally didn’t enjoy this course and can’t recommend it.
Nice course, very helpful staff
The course is beautiful and well laid out. Challenging track for an average golfer like me. The greens were very good. Fairways also good. Tees and sand traps could use some work. The staff is very helpful. Overall a very nice experience and good value for the price.
5-4-2025
First time playing here. Good price $55 with cart. Strange layout, they start you on a challenging par 5 and you end on a 100 yard par 3. Lots of doglegs, water carries and blind shots. Very challenging. Greens and fairways in good shape. Tee boxes and bunkers need attention. Pace of play was good.

Perfect family golf outing.
We played this course for the first time as a family and had a fantastic experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. The course itself was in excellent condition and not overcrowded, making for a relaxed round. After our game, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the on-site restaurant, which was a great way to end the day. We’re already looking forward to coming back again!
