About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

Not great
Wouldn’t say it’s the worst course I’ve ever played but overall was disappointed. Course is in rough shape. Almost as if there aren’t even fairways, it’s just regular grass. Course is literally in a community where each hole can be a lengthy drive thru streets and neighborhoods with little direction on where to go. A lot of doglegs off the tee and lots of water hazards and houses close by. It’s 18 holes and wasn’t expensive so it’s worth a play, but that’s about where the positives end.
Great day
Great day on course. Upon arrival, attendant came right over to bring us our carts. He then rocked it by letting us go out early. Course was mostly in great shape. T-boxes need some work as some were more weeds than grass. Some of the greens had rot/holes in them. All in all, gray value for the money!!!
Sunday round
Friendly staff for sure we were greeted with a cart in the parking lot. The younger woman behind the desk was very friendly. Bev cart was cruising around. The layout always gives me a challenge and the greens were rolling great, faster than I would’ve thought.
GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR BUCK
FIRST TIME PLAYING HERE. TEE BOXES ARE CHEWED UP... 6:45 AM TEE TIME-I WAS IN FRONT OF THE MOWER CUTTING THE GREENS. HAD TO PUTT THROUGH THE DEW. FOR 6 HOLES, HAD A WORKER WAITING ON THE GREEN FOR ME TO FINISH PUTTING, SO HE COULD CHANGE THE CUP... VERY DISTRACTING!
Great course, challenging
Course was in great shape, very challenging course, first time there, score wasn't great but fun to play. I have fished in places with less water lol. Would definitely play again.
Challenging layout, not the best conditions
We played a 5 hour round, never saw a ranger and only saw the refreshment cart once (on the second hole). I enjoyed the challenges the course offers but the tee boxes and fairways were not in the greatest shape. Greens were ok but lots of ball marks showed no one was helping keep the course up and the sand was in poor shape ( but that might have been just the recent rain). Overall we had an ok day but I don’t think I’ll be rushing back to play here.
Slow pace
Played here a good amount of times usually move right along yesterday was real slow 6 hrs to do 18 not typical for this course
Well maintained and challenging great course for price
Good challenge
Fairways not narrow and greens are big and easy to hit making it a fun time for beginners
Carry Water
Lots of doglegs and lots of water to contend with. Tees are often moved and the position s really change your strategy. Course is built around the lake and community but you don’t feel out of place. Lots of challenge golf here fir all levels
