About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Pace and Organization Issues
Cost was on point, 27 for 18 and a cart. Not much available in pro shop, snack bar was moved outside and had what you needed as well as a course beverage rider. However, there was no monitoring of play and pace. Many fast groups of 2, extremely slow groups of 4 and 5 and a league that wasn’t spoken about when given direction at the beginning of our round. We allowed a group to play through, then at the turn had 3 groups in front of us and we were give the advice to jump a couple holes if we don’t mind losing them and that apparently angered a league player who felt the need to share that and that she was also an employee of the course, she didn’t present herself or the club well. Course had minor condition issues as well.
Embarrassing
I have played this course before, and quit playing due to conditions. I decided to give it a try again. Not again. If you’re looking to just drink and screw around on a course this is your course. $27 and you pay for what you get. I was going on 4 hours at the 13th tee box and quit. The tee boxes had long grass in them. Greens were in good shape, about the only thing good about the course. Will never play here again
Pace of play was VERY SLOW>
2 Players should not take 5 hours to play 18 Holes. Group in front never offered to let us play a head.
Not fun to play around and have to wait on every shot.

Great Pairing - Slow Play
The day was beautiful but the pace of play was slow. Course was short staffed and didn’t have a ranger. Layout is challenging and course was beautiful.
Was paired with a Father, Son and Daughter through GolfNow… we had a great time! Made the waiting on each hole bearable.

Classic course; great deal for money
The course is in really good shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were much better than expected. I've played out there in the late summer, and it's a little bit more beat up. Needless to say this is a good track. Always busy on the weekends. Will probably play there a few more times this year.

Rude Staff
The staff at the clubhouse is the reason young people don’t play golf. I (24) and my friends of the same age, who love to play golf and have always been respectful of the customs and courtesy’s of the game, just wanted come try out a new course and play a round. I could tell as soon as we walked into the club house that the staff lumped us in with some riff raff that would be loud and tear up the course. They treated us like garbage and suggested we leave after 9 holes, which we did. Unless you look like you are coming off the PGA tour, I wouldn’t visit this course.

Course being worked on
The course is being worked on. The sprinklers were being adjusted. Some new tee boxes were being setup.
Overall the course was in pretty good shape. They are in need of new golf carts.

Challenging and friendly staff, relaxed range time
Very easy going staff, can get slow at times, usually from beginner play! Still leisure play and great course for the price. Jamaica has always treated me fairly , I always come back!!
