Jamaica Run Golf Club
About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

It is late in the year so both fairways and greens had a few rough spots. Nice hidden country course with an interesting layout with some creek and pond tee shots.
Course review
I have played here many times and enjoy the course. The layout is challenging. Course was in good shape and is a very good value.
Good job
The course was in overall good condition. The bunkers are too small and not the greatest. The staff is always friendly but the food and bar is weak.
Decent value for the price.
This course
Was in very poor condition TBoxes were so hard you couldn't hardly get a Tee in the ground. While we are on the subject of T boxes when we walked in to pay there was a sign that the T boxes were going to be getting watered. On a Sunday Morning you decide to water the TBoxes one of my group members was standing over one of the sprinklers watching me drive in the middle of my back swing ours turns on he got soaked our carts got soaked our wife's got soaked. Unbelievable. The fairways and greens were rock hard. Mind you our area has what you would call a above average rain this summer so much so I still haven't had to water my own yard. Not that we don't mind a challenge while playing but pin locations was pretty much impossible. We even took a picture of one hole it was literally 7 feet on the front side of the green. And 15 feet from the bunker on the right. A lot of the holes were front pin locations. Combine that with hard fairways and greens pretty much impossible. I have enjoyed this course of the years but it is going down hill fast. Really not worth the 39 x 2 me and wife cost to play. When 10 more bucks gets you to play really nice courses.
Efficiency Lacking
Nice course, and the staff was approachable. It was pretty crowded, and they stood firm on sending everyone off on the same 9. It would've been a more efficient approach to send some off on the other 9. What should've been a 3 1/2 hour round turned in to a 5 hour round.
First and last
First time playing this course. Signed in and asked if there was anything i needed to know. Just told me to have a good time. The ranger came out on 9th hole, yelled at us and left. Can't have the golf cart on the course past the green striped poles. Didn't know that and it wasnt explained. On the back 9 we caught up with the group in front of us. They were playing 2 balls a piece. It took for ever to finish. Had another group on a different hole constantly yelling. Asked them to be quiet while we tee off and they wanted to fight us.. was not a fun time. Will not be going back!
A fun little course. Not long but 90 degree holes make you think about your shots. You wil need someone who has played there before to help on a couple holes that are blind. I have been here twice and will come back again
Decent course, 3 really dumb par fives. Good greens
It was just okay
The greens were in great shape and fast. The price I paid was great but I wouldn't pay full price. Plus, I made it through 3 holes and it started pouring down rain. Went in to get a rain check the gentleman said I couldn't get a rain check but I could get a credit to use towards a full priced golf play. So I paid $16 with fees on golf now and full price was $34. So basically if I want to come back and finish playing I have to pay full price. NOT!
rude
yesterday 6/12/17 we found jamaicas twilight rate was $10 for 18 with a cart after 6 pm. we called and booked a 6pm tee time for $10 for 18 with a cart. when we get there the guy behind the counter said that price is only for 9 with a cart. and called us liars. so i pulled out my phone and showed him their posted online rates, he still would not honor their posted rates. said it was an error. but as of today it is still posted at that price.
add in their general rudeness from most employees, not all, but most. i will not be back
Nice course
The course was in good shape. The grass was cut just right and the ruff was very playable.will be playing more golf there
Great course
Very happy with course and personnel only down fall no beer on sunday due to dry district so bring your own
Greens Hard as rock
Greens should have been watered but had not been over weekend because they thought it may rain.
More dandelions than I have ever seen on any coarse.
For the money not worth it. There are a lot of easy improvements that could be done. Not sure why nothing is being done since they are charging more.
Good but Average
The course has a number of positive. Maybe course condition will be better as we get more into the season. The greens are in great shape. but the fairways and rough are a little inconsistent.
Beautiful day
Our round started with three pairs on the tee. So it started slowly and maintained the same pace throughout the round. A 4 hr. round, not terribly bad. The course was in good condition considering all the rain we have had in the past 2 weeks. Greens were fast, but would hold a good shot. Overall, with low/mid 60's and sunny skies, who could ask for more...
