About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Challenging and friendly staff, relaxed range time
Very easy going staff, can get slow at times, usually from beginner play! Still leisure play and great course for the price. Jamaica has always treated me fairly , I always come back!!
Great time with the boys!
Got paired with some really good dudes. Had a great time. For the price, you really cannot beat it. Will play here again.

Great course normally
This was the late April so needless to say they might not be ready for normal season yet. Ball washes weren’t out yet or coolers as well as some under construction areas. This time when we went they where over booked. It took at least 5 minutes or more between finishing 1 hole to teeing off on the next. I only played 9 thank goodness. It took 3 hours for 9 holes. I still would recommend this course. I will play again for sure.

Good course to play for cheap.
If you are looking to just get a round of golf in and don’t really care about course conditions or a bunch drunks yelling all around you. This is the course for you. Tee boxes are rough, if you hit out of a fairway, be ready to play in either dirt patches or a bunch of dandelions.

slowly improving
This course is starting to look better. The new superintendent took over last year and the course was beginning to show signs of neglect. They have worked on the irrigation system which will help keep it looking green longer in the dry months. they have removed many dead trees, filled in some barren and damaged spots. They are working on the sand traps and they look better than the last 2 years. The fees ar pretty much the same this year as last. they have purchased some newer and more reliable carts and are trying to find more at a reasonable rate. Still friendly as ever but plan to add staff for starters and monitor the condition of the returning carts for damage. Too much mischief last year left many damaged w/o accountability. The staff is monitoring cart and course usage to try and cut down on abuse so it will stay in good condition all year long. Good golf course for the price.

Could be a great Golf Course
Staff needs to manage teetime for single golfers. Combine them! Make foursome! We let 4 individuals pass through separately and r this slowed us down and we waited each time and this upset the other players. Otherwise, the rating would have been much higher.

Enjoyable public course
Course was quite wet, but it had recently rained. Greens and tee boxes were in good condition. The course layout was fair and the greens had plenty of challenge. I enjoyed the holes on the back 9 that incorporated the large hill.
JR offers a fair conditioned reasonably priced public course outside of Dayton.

Good Experience
My most recent visit to this course was late in the season. Staff were very friendly, the price was good, the pace of play was good and there were good refreshments available at the turn. With it being near the end of the season, there was a lot of work being done on the golf course and that it to be expected this time of you. I had a very good
experience.

Course needs some work
I'VE PLAYED THIS COURSE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. It's
Not what it used to be. Bunkers are mostly dirt and grass and the green's have alot of dead spots of turf from disease im guessing. The course needs some attention before i will return.
