Jamaica Run Golf Club
About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Great Course
This is a hidden gem in the Dayton area. The condition of the course is great and the greens actually allow you to hit several 10+ footers. The 18th is a very fun hole to finish on.
Very dry and hard tees and greens
Greens won't hold a good shot. Wife had hard time getting her tees in the ground. We like the course and plan to try it again later this spring.
Fun course to play.
Nice course. Some of the women's tee boxes were on the fairway so don't know what was up with that!
Wide fairways and some water but enjoyed the day.
Nice Course
I drove quite a ways to get there but it was worth every mile. I paired up with a couple of gentlemen that were regulars and they were very nice and helpful. The pace did not seem slow because it was such a beautiful day and the company was good but I can see how it could be very slow. One of the regulars said "keep it quiet so everyone doesn't find out about this place" - well I blew that one because I will tell all that will listen that Jamaica Run is a great place to play!
Nice course
For the money this course is a very good value.the course for this early in the season was in very good shape. downsides the course was not easy to find as there are no signs anywhere to help you find it also.there wasn't any water or ball washers on the course which this time of year would be very useful. All in all though quick pace and a nice little course.
Great shape for the season
The leaves are changing and falling, but the staff is doing a good job keeping after the leaves. The greens roll fast and true and there is more than enough trouble to challenge your shot making ability. A few holes demand accurate driving, but most give you adequate fairway width. 4 or 5 sets of tees allow you to pick your poison.
The sand traps could use another inch or two of sand before next spring. Really good value if you shop for the cheaper tee times.
Excellent Maintenance both fairways & greens
Absolutely excellent maintenance with wide-open fairways and pristine bunkers. You could tell immediately that other golfers took pride in taking care of the course. The tee boxes were in excellent shape with hardly any broken tees on the ground. A number of water hazards with the final one at the 18th hole challenging if you've never played the course. Challenging enough course without being difficult to play.

Greens were fast with a lot of break
Played 18 holes in 3.5 hours, Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Would be nice if the distance to fairway crossing creeks was provided on the tees. Club house snack bar was nice. Carts provided appear and operated like they are getting old.
Course has great dog legs that you have to think about club choice and ball placement.
Jamica run has several tee locations for all level of play. It is well kept, great lay out, very walkable, and very enjoyable to play.
Great deal for a great course
My son and I used Golf Now for the first time. When we got there our time was already reserved. The staff is always awesome at Jamaica Run. It hadn't been watered so the greens were tough to hit into, but they were true for putting.
Great day, great course. I'll be using Golf Now again.
Slow But Good
Played Jamaica Run on Sunday with my little brother. We usually play a round in about 3-1/2 hours and this one took almost 5. The course was very busy and the starter had mentioned that there was an outing starting at 1, so they had crammed everyone into the early slots. Onto the course, it was very nicely kept and in very good shape.
This course has a couple of trick shot plays.
This course is a fun place to play plus its on my home from work. Everyone is friendly and it has a few chellenging holes.
Overbooked
Could not start for 15 minutes after our tee time due to backup. Took 1 hour to play the first 2 holes (2 of us) due to a bunch of slooooow players in front. Got to the 3rd tee and after waiting 15 minutes in line decided to leave because there was still a group ahead of us who were waiting for the previous twosome to get to the green. I will not be back here.
Wasn't impressed
Payed for 18 rained like crazy. They wouldn't give me a rain heck for the back nine. They were not very friendly.
Nice course with well maintained fairways and greens. However our round took five hours due to very slow play. Where are the Rangers?
To make a slow round even worse the Rangers showed upon on hole 14 and told us there was an outing and they needed to do a shotgun start and they were sending groups ahead of us on 16–18! Why didn't they come out earlier and speed up the people ahead of us? They could have done this better with a little more planning or better course management.
Not much in way of a clubhouse, but I was there to play golf not shop.
Took my sons and we had a nice time. Play was a little slow. They sent a group out in the middle of play and slowed down the last 3 holes. Had fun and got to spend quality time with my boys.
Good Course
Had a good time on Sunday
Did not shoot that well but the course was new to me and
trying to help new player. I wish they had not put us with another twosome. The starter said it would be fine because there was no one behind us. That was not true and I felt pushed from the third hole on.
The course was in good shape and the fairways where a delight compared to some of the courses I had played on recently. The greens stuck the ball. It rained two days before. It was a good day and nice moderate course. Will go back in a couple of weeks.
this course is in great has great features
The course is in real good condition ,the greens are in great shape, the sand is good and playable. Great value on golf now.
Rude Staff, Slow pace of play.
We got an email for a free round, pay for the cart. Presented coupon and staff gave us a hard time for their special and took 20 minutes to check in. Parked cart by driving range and they came out, yelled at us to move our carts 20 yards back where there was no signs or parking of any kind. If you want a slow track with very rude staff, this is the place for you. It cost us $10 for a cart and after it was all over wanted to ask for a refund. Will not return nor recommend it to anyone.
Maturing Course
As Jamaica Run grows in age, it becomes a better and better course. Trees getting larger, precise shots needed. Greens are beginning to hold in the last few years.
