Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Great value.
It was Autumn so the golf season had slowed down considerably so pace was fast. Tee boxes moved way up for maintenance. This made course easier and not any lost balls.
Fun Course
The course was not in best of shape, but was fun to play

Not worth it
The course is ill maintained for the money. The amenities are dated. I would not recommend this course.

Stressed out.
Several tee boxes were severely distressed and some barren. Fairways and greens were inconsistent. Weather conditions excrssove heat/rain may have exasperated course conditions and maintenance. Played on a late Sunday afternoon and had course mostly to my self.

Affordable yet Classy
I have played this course more times than I can count. I always been someone who was interested in trying new things and knew places to swing the sticks. I have always come back to Jamaica Run. The course plays fairly moderate in difficulty however at this price you will walk on the first tee and off of the last green while sporting the same smile.

Family Outinsg
Make sure you don't pay full price...various maintenance issues. Tee boxes, course buildings and some of the greens were rough. The pace was slow and had some folks get impatient...got hit into a couple of times. Staff was friendly, but course was average.

Overall we had a good time greens a little rough and fairways in descent shape.definitely a long course and very challenging for the average golfer.

Great Overall Course
Course was in great shape for midsummer, staff was friendly enough and pace was very good with a ranger dispersing groups. Definitely some fun holes that make you think and use every club in your bag

home course
this course is close to my house and a good deal if you're looking for a good round at a good course. it has its days where the 2nd cut is hairy and the fairways aren't always top notch but its a challenging and beautiful course, the greens are reasonable. I will continue coming out.

This is a really fun course to play
My son and I had a great time at this course. I had read some previous reviews and was a little skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a great course and in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were fine. I recommend this course and I will play it again.

Fun but flat
Not a whole lot of imagination is needed to play this course. WYSIWYG for most of the course. Pay attention to the dogleg par 5s to ensure your landing area.
The greens were in very good shape. Most of the greens are table tops making them smaller than they appear from the fairway/tee.
Possibly the flatest course I've every played. They didn't move much dirt to make this course except to build the table top green.
Overall a very good value if in good shape.

Very nice course, Excellent value
This was my first time playing this course but it will not be my last. 7:37 am tee time and actually got off a little before. Was paired with 2 nice guys who had never played the course either. Some challenging tee shots that will reward you if you hit it big and take a chance. Greens were rolling smooth and true, fairways were nice, and rough was reasonable, not too punishing but you knew you were there. 18th hole is an odd one with a blind tee shot, with no prior knowledge of course, 2 of us drove it through the fairway. Will play this course again.

Pace of play
Somewhat disappointed that Rangers weren't available to assist the slower golfers speed up. We had to wait on every shot and we were a twosome and there were 3. The bunkers were in terrible shape.

Nice course, great value, bad pace
I have played this course many times over the years. It's in good shape and the value is awesome. The front 9 is a little quirky having 3 each of par 3, 4, 5, but I didn't mind it. The only issue with this course is the pace of play always seems slow. Outside of that, it's a good track for thd money.
