Nice Place to play
This is a nice course in decent shape with some challenging holes - a better deal than other nearby public courses, but as with many other similar type courses, the speed of the greens vary, so it's hard to get a consistent feel for them. If you can get a golfnow discount go for it!
Drinking water
I have played here for years and they always have problems with the drinking
Water.at one time they didn't supply any drinking water than one year they had a ranger riding around with a cooler giving you cups of water. Last year they supplied water at I believe two holes and now they have a machine selling bottled water at one location. No one is made aware of the situation and on a hot day it really becomes a burden that may become
A health issue. After the round
I asked
Someone in the clubhouse about it and they said they were in compliance . I saiid that it was
Ihumane and they said possibly
Nice course and always a great deal
I like this course. I play it often. The only thing that I feel they need to do is to cut some of the lower branches off the trees or maybe I just need to stay out of them. The place could also use a bar and maybe some music playing. It's like a library in the clubhouse.
Great conditions
I have been playing this course for several years. They hired a new maintenance company in the fall of last year, which is starting to payoff. Many of the tee boxes still need help but the fairways and in particular the greens are in great shape right now. This course is fun to play and is better than all of the surrounding public courses. The change of topography along this course makes for interesting play and there is a nice mix of difficulty across the 18 holes. The snack bar also has the best food of all the area courses. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
Great elevation changes.
Got my first EAGLE ever on third hole so I might be a little biased, but I have to say the course was in great condition. Definitely will play this course again.
Fair to average
Great staff. Good potential. Average at best. Course needs some love and care. Could be great.
Great for the price I paid.
I have played this course in the past and the condition of the course this time was the best I've ever seen. Very short course the played more difficult due to thick rough. Excellent for the minimal price ($25) I paid.
Pace of play was a bit slow but it was expected for a Memorial Day afternoon with beautiful weather.
course was wet.
Enjoyed playing the course as it was wide open. The ground was soaking wet in many areas from a heavy rain
the day before. Conditions were cart path only, which was very limiting.
some greens were being aerated and putting was very rough and uneven.
The sun was shining and we had a great day.
Shotgun outing nightmare + slow greens
Nice Hot Deal from GolfNow but when I arrived at the course I learned that a 110 golfer shotgun outing was to be sent off 10 minutes before my tee time resulting in a 5 1/2 hour round.
Green speed here is usually very fast today's speed must have been a stimp of 5 - full shoulder turn needed even on a 6 footer.
Decent course but poorly managed
The course is nice - good layout, challenging holes and greens. The price is decent as well. The only issue is that it's poorly managed. There was no starter and no rangers, and so people started whenever they wanted, pace of play was incredibly slow (the round took over 5 hours). I would come back here again if I got another deal through GolfNow, but I would encourage the staff to be more attentive to the course.
Good value for early spring
We took advantage of a Golf Now hot deal and got a great rate for a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The course was in good shape for early spring and pace of play was good (for a change). Would play here more often if pace of play and the course conditions remained the same. Unfortunately, have played here in the summer where both are poor. Hopefully things will stay well. Overall, a great value for this time of year.
Good course
This course was extremely fun to play and had some challenging shots to keep you honest. Good elevation changes and fairly opened so you won't spend too much time looking for your ball in the woods.
The greens weren't in perfect shape but still tough and required a good read.
Played on a Sunday morning and didn't run into anyone in front of us until after the turn and didn't catch up totally until 17 and 18.
Overall a great course and experience
Okay for early spring
Okay course to play when you have some free time. But not my favorite course to play. The tee boxes need work and the greens were not cut.
Best service and courtesy
After searching for an open golf course in the winter, I was very fortunate to pick Bunker Hill. After driving over an hour and trying to beat a dark forecast for heavy rain, the Bunker Hill manager did everything to help me out and get 12 holes in before the rain on frozen course conditions. I was thrilled to play and surprised how good the course conditions were considering the date and weather.
Very,very enjoyable!
Maybe because it's December but there were very few people on the course. The course was in great condition. Very few leaves on the fairways. (Always a great way for me to lose balls when they land in leaves and disappear.)
My friend and I played 18 holes in 2 hours 45 minutes. Usually play takes 4 to 5 hours.
Nice course, but a little pricey for what you're getting....
I've played here 4 or 5 times and while the course is well maintained and very nice to play, it's simply too expensive compared to the other courses in the area.
