Return to playing the original 18 hole layout.
The course has finally been switched back (as designed) to its original front 9 back 9 layout! sooo much better flow! Pace of play was really slow 4.5 hours , tee boxes, bunkers and fairways were really good but most greens were beat up and not smooth due to being aerated recently.
Great layout and small undulated greens made for a fun round.

Better than expected
Conditions were better than expected. Fairways and greens were in very good condition.
First time playing course. Yardage markers were inadequate. Tee boxes did not always identify what hole leading to some confusion.

Poor scheduling/mis management off tee times
Played today 10/15/21. Had a 1140am tee time. Didn't tee off til after 12pm. Course was over booked with atleast 2 groups waiting at every tee box. Only played 12 holes finally left after 4 hrs of play and 12 holes. Wasn't worth the money. Won't be playing this anytime soon or ever again. Took them years to finally put sand in all the bunkers. Now when they finally put sand in never took time to remove large stones from bunkers. Wasn't worth 60 plus bucks to play 12 holes and get frustrated waiting and finally leaving.
Waste of time
I've played this course numerous times over the years. While the conditions have improved under new ownership, the pace of play was abysmal.....or any applicable word worse than that. Showed up an hour before the round and could not find parking. Parked near maintenance shed. Had an 11:20 tee time and didn't tee off til 11:50. From there it only got worse. Each tee box backed up with two groups. Just packed up and left. Finished 13 holes in 4 hours. Ridiculous. And let me be clear, this was not because of slow play. This was strictly due to overbooking and mismanagement of the tee sheet. Won't be back any time soon, if ever. Would ask for a nine hole credit, but that would mean I'd have to come back and play this course again. No thanks.
Way better
Golfed here last year and I was not impressed. No sand in bunkers and tee boxes where terrible. One year later completely changed they did a lot of work on the course, tee boxes were flat, bunkers had all new sand and the fairways were nice. Might be my new go to. Very impressed !!!!

Course condition improvements
Enjoyed the round the turf conditions were good albeit a bit long and furry on tee boxes and fairways greens had just been aerated but were top dressed bunkers all had new sand in them,pace of play was excellent as i think we were 1st group out after maintenance. Good RTJ layout not pushover good to see this affordable course improving.

It was a great weather day and expected back up but the golfers that played took way too much time.

Hidden gem
Was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my round at Rancocas. Only reason they’re not getting 5 stars is that after aeration, they weren’t able to get the back none cleaned up and I was only able to play the front twice. Really wanted to get a look at the whole course. Will definitely be back soon tho
