Rancocas Golf Club

I have had the pleasure of playing : Torrey Pines CA, Turtle Bay HI, Kings North, SC,Royal Palms, Bermuda and numerous others~ Now, I realize this is a public in the Northeast section of the U.S~ But, how this place got an overall 3 1/2 rate is incredible... It's overrun with crabgrass, the tee boxes are completely a mess, fairways are like playing on concrete and the trapts are filled with stone and dirt, not sand... I have never put more scars on my Pings in any other public in the south jersey area.. Personally, I agree with the idea of a complete overhaul of the course... This course will do more harm then, help to your game and ruin your clubs.. Just sayin!

Great weather, great course, and lots of fun...I will definitely recommend this course to a friend.

I like playing Rancocas most of the time. Ambassadors were on the course this time and liked knowing they are looking out for pace of play and keeping folks off the rough parts of the fairways. Staff was cordial and helpful.

The greens had just been aerated so putting was not true-there was a sign in the pro shop stating such. I will play this course again in the near future.

This course is well designed and could be very challenging but the fairways and greens need alot of attention. We are going to try playing this again in several weeks after they aerate and make improvements. We liked the course but prefer playing on maintained fairways & greens.

I am a beginner, and have not played on many courses, but I can tell you this, the conditions of the course is horrible. There is no clear distinction between the rough and the greens. Simply put, while the course is cheap, it is still not worth the money. My friend and I went there, and probably will not play there again.

Course is certainly worth $24 to ride. The front nine is in way better shape than the back. Overall, the course has super value and is defintely a steal at the price it's listed at. Would defintely go back again

It's been a few years since I played this course. During that time, the pro shop & amenities have been upgraded, while less attention has been given to the course itself. The back tees appear almost unused & there were huge bare areas on some of the fairways, while others were well-manicured. Many of the bunkers (I was in a few too many) lacked for sand, so that it was just about impossible to hit a proper explosion shot with my sand wedge. Greens, with one or two exceptions, were generally good. The course does have a nice layout and $60 (inc.cart) for 2 players was still pretty good value.

We're finally getting some decent weather and the course was quite crowded. This made for some slow play. Pleasantly surprised to see the condition of the fairways. Many in the area are in poor shape. Rancocas looked much better than most.

Not so great conditions. Tee boxes, greens and fairways were bare in many spots. Pace of play was incredibly slow which was a result of too many golfers on the course. I will not purposely seek this place out again to play unless I've been invited. Even then, I would recommend a different course.

I want to like this course, i really do, but the course conditions were just not good. i got a discounted rate at 610 AM of 40$, but if i had known every other fairway would be 1/3 dirt i probably would have gone elsewhere. 1 par 3 green was 50% sand. i am not sure who feels good about paying the full rate at this course in the condition it is in.

If they take some care, this would be 4 star course for sure. It had decent length for a northeast public course, with nice bunker placements. overall, if they charged 20$ it would be fine but until those fairways are cleaned up i wont be coming back.

A lot of water damage. Greens and tee boxes were very poor!

This course was in horrible shape! We left after 14 holes be prepared for a 5+ round.

I brought 3 friends that have never played the course and they told me to never ask them to play there again. It was an absolute mess of a golf course. Worst conditions I've seen anywhere in years.

normally this course is in good shape - we went in late July and the course was burnt and bare in many spots. this summer has been bad for most courses in south jersey, hoping it gets to shape soon.

We have had so much rain this summer that I was curious to see how muddy it would be playing. The course was cart path only and they have it well maintained.
I do have 1 complaint. I have been playing here for several years now and every time I play here the 11th hole is a disaster! It an good hole for a possible birdie for an average golfer because of the short distance but the green is a total beach. How many years does it take to do maintenance or build a green?
I must say that the staff has GREATLY improved. One of my biggest issues in the past with this course was the staff. Outright RUDE in the past. Today they were ALL polite!

I did score a fantastic deal on the price....Only $20 so that helped in making my experience here great.

This Course could be beautiful. Lot of brown and destroyed tee boxes. Blame it on the heat but other courses in the region are not in this bad of shape. Water! Water! Water! Starter was friendly and full of helpful information.

Course was in decent condition. Crowded. Great deal for the money. Challenging. Greens were slow but in good condition.

tee boxes, cart paths, need work, was out there behind a single who was brutal and then another two some behind a foresome. after double par should be a ranger that explains we don't want to be there all day long.
