Rancocas Golf Club

The staff make this place. Every employee we met was very personable and their attitudes carey over to the players. We arrived early and while we were willing to wait for our tee time one of the groups in front of us wasn’t quite ready and told us to tee off in their place instead of making us all wait. Thanks to them we were off the course in less than 4 Hours. Now for the course itself….. The greens and fairways are in very good shape, but the rough, which consists mainly of spider grass is awful. I see a lot of work being done to the front 9, so hopefully when the rest of the course catches up this place will be a solid place to play. However, until that happens I think this is a one and done.

Course was very nice.. fairways were good and rough for the most part was good.. some rough thicker than others.. we finished our round in exactly 4 and a half hours but apparently they had a tournament to prepare to start so we had the starter breathing down our necks the last two holes trying to hurry us along. Very annoying. Hotdog at the turn is a must grab!.

Was slow getting around, one group had the whole course slowed up and nobody ever moved them along but still under 5hrs. Can tell the course is putting money into the course so will definitely be back.

The round was 5 or more hours. NO rangers to control pace. Absolutely insane

Enjoyed the round. Good to see management's putting money into course improvements. Greens in good shape. Work evident on tee boxes. Trail paving improved and enhanced. Keep going! Preserve a classic RTJ layout.

I thought the course was an excellent condition. Pace of play was perfect and it was an overall positive experience. I would really recommend this course to anyone and it's reasonably priced

Great course and worth the 1 hour and 10 minute drive from Staten Island NY. played here 4x this year and many times about 15 years ago. New car paths on the first few holes are nice and the new mini bridge near the 2nd green. Love the layout, many dog legs, elevated tee boxes. Front nine is a parkland style and Links style on the back nine. Nice range and food hut near the 10th tee. Haven’t bought anything at this hut but good to know it’s there in case you need a bite to eat. Overall awesome experience here and will be coming back for many years!!

The course was way too expensive for the condition it was in. Everything is very flat and straight and the greens were covered in sand. It is a dry county so they selling alcohol and we couldn’t find any other food or water along the course. The start was rude to my girlfriend who is just starting. We had so bad hits on the first hole since they made us go off early and then warned us on pace of play three hits into the first hole. I would never go back here. If you’re golfing with a wife or gf, maybe best to choose a different course.

It is a great course with a fun layout. This summer's extreme weather has beat up a lot of the rough. Fairways are in good shape. A lot of people don't fix their ball marks on the greens which makes putting difficult.

The course is definitely on the mend and looking amazing! Has to be one of the most well maintained public courses the greens were absolutely 10/10 they were FAST and good greens make everything better! They cut out alot of nonsense grass to speed up pace of play and the grass around the greens is very lush and healthy easy to play from! Almost private course vibes today minus pace of play was a bit slow. If less hackers would golf us actually golfers could knock out 18 holes in 4hrs max! But very fun place to play. Def need to swap from. Back 9 back to what it was. Hitting range balls before playing was nice and easy.

The new owners are really putting in the time and resources to make Rancocas a must play course. Right now it’s a work in process (the traps could use new sand, and the cart paths are still being re-paved). The work done around the par 3 2nd, and the new set up on 18 (previously number 9) is awesome. Looks like the current upgrades will be complete by next season (if not sooner), and I’m looking forward to seeing the final product.

Using Golf Now to reserved my tee time was smooth and efficient and saved a coupla bucks to boot.
