Great course but…
They’ve got to fix the boundaries for where the golf carts can go. It was awful. I’m by no means a great golfer, but when I’m just off the fairway and the golf cart starts beeping and I can’t go anywhere it’s was aggravating and annoying. I understand around the greens but in the first cut of the fairway? Terrible
Great local track
Nice course, good price and maintained well. Great staff, specifically Polly on the weekends who is extremely nice even at 6 am for early bird tee times. Would recommend to anyone.
The course is fine but the gps golf carts…
Their golf carts w gps are insufferable…you can be on the cart path and it will lock and make you drive backwards for no reason.
The gps white markers are too far away from the greens and bunkers so if you've missed over or to the opposite side of the cart path you have no idea what club you may need for your next shot so you are forced to take a selection of clubs with you.
Great Course, Great Shape
Blackbrook was in terrific shape, I have not played there in a few years, and the changes they are making to the course are wonderful. Fairways and tees were cut, and greens were rolling. The Director of Golf Tim Ausperk was there meeting groups as they made their turn. I would definitely recommend playing this course.
World Class Lake County Golf
Blackbrook is the gem of lake county. The staff and the director of golf Tim Ausperk are first class. When you golf there you are family and going to have a great time. The golf course is always in good shape and the pins are always set in a position to keep you on your toes. Blackbrook is a timeless tradition that is good for any golfer and skill level. Wonderful!
Great Beginner Course
Amazing course good price, the front 9 we got stuck behind some younger folks taking too long. Seems like this is a good course for younger less experienced golfers. Course was in great shape, 2 holes tho had a lot of helicopter plant things falling from the trees onto the putting green so putting was tougher on those 2 holes, but it could be because trees are still blooming i imagine after all trees are bloomed no more helicopter plants on those 2 greens. Staff was friendly food and drink was good and adorable. 10/10 im a +20 handicap
Great course
Blackbrook was in great condition for fall golf. The fairways were cut short and the greens had speed. The maintenance crew did a fabulous job keeping up with the leaves, unfortunately as soon as they were done blowing the course was covered again. The city of Mentor has put a lot of money into course improvements and it shows. Will definitely play again.
The course was in great shape and the greens are pure. Love the work they’ve done to open up some of the holes with tree removal. The GM Tim Ausperk greeted our group personally at the turn and he is always on top of it. Love this course!
