Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

Nice course
Very nice course. Greens were very well kept. Tough course and you must be straight or you’re punching out like me lol
Good place!
Routing is kind of confusing, other than that, good condition, good pace of play, good concessions.
Nice Track
The routing is kind of confusing after 1, but other than that, its a fantastic time. Price is reasonable for the great condition the place is in. The greens roll true, no hopping putts, no weird breaks, and they were somewhat receptive to wedges, not rock hard thats forsure. I enjoyed the round.
Do not play here unless you have 5+ hours and love waiting to hit
I scheduled a 10:12am tee time on a weekday morning. I did not tee off until 10:31. There was no starter so we had to play behind a group of 8. We had to start on the back which is a short par 4. You have to wait for them to clear the green in order to hit your second shot. Hole 12 is a par 3 where we had to wait 15 minutes for all 8 players to tee off.
The course is in nice shape because of all the recent rain however it is also very wet. Nothing that they can do about that. I would not recommend playing this course if you want to have a rhythm and need to play under 5 hours.
Course conditions
Course is in horrible shape. Dandelions EVERYWHERE. No water in the restrooms. Carts have to be 30 yrs old. Don’t waste $50. Miserable experience.
meh...
I've played this course for years and the best time to play is before mid-June when it gets hot and dry. They do not have irrigation, so they rely 100% on rain to water. After June, the fairways and majority of the greens get burnt out.
I played yesterday and despite having great weather the past 3-4 days, the tee boxes and fairways hadn't been mowed in days. Fairways looked like "first cut" or "fringe", tee box grass had started seeding on top meaning they hadn't been mowed in a while.
Fairways are lined with singe row of tree's so if you're not hitting fairways 100% of the time, you have to watch that golfers on other holes aren't taking your ball. This is by far the worst course in the area for this. This is always my last choice of courses when looking for tee times. Take that for what it's worth.
Decent course for the price
Overall, it was a great round of golf. The course was in decent shape and the pace of play was acceptable. We did wait at each tee box for about 10 minutes. The course was fairly easy to play. If you're looking for a once in a lifetime course, this isn't it but nonetheless I will play it again.
Improvements!
My first time playing green crest wasn’t a great one. Patrons and staff were unfriendly, course was in rough shape, and the carts felt extremely dated.
All of that has flipped.
Aside from the hurricane that turned the golf course into a swamp (at no fault of the golf course), everything was so much better. Staff was so friendly and personal, the fairways and greens were beautiful (although the fairways were a little high, but again, we had just gotten 6 days of rain so I’m sure they’re doing their best), the golf carts have been retrofitted with touchscreen displays that play music and have fly overs of the holes(!!)
While the swampy conditions made play rather difficult I have very little negative to say. This place certainly turned itself around and isn’t a bad course.
Great Fall Round
The course was in great condition for being this late in the year. A lot of leaves to contend with but the staff were working tirelessly to clear the fairways.
green crest
This is a pretty nice course. My partners problem is the noise from the highways. Oh well
