Can’t beat it!
About 1 hr away but worth the drive!!! Course is in good shape overall. Greens 8/10. Cart monitor with Bluetooth is a plus. Good hot deal is worth every penny!
Nice Course
A truly fun round. Course in great shape, layout full of character, some holes that highlight a beautiful view of the lake and got in 3:15. Outside of the bunker full of bees on 3, nothing bad to say about the course and plenty of good.
Hard to beat for the price
Village Green had 2 things that are lacking at most courses I go to- a GPS for yardage, layout, and scorekeeping on the cart, and ball washers. It's a pet peeve of mine that most courses never put their ball washers back up after Covid because they'd rather not bother with them. The water in these was pretty nasty by the afternoon, but at least they had them. The GPS is always appreciated for a casual golfer like myself who doesn't carry his own rangefinder. The gas golf carts were strong and fast.
As far as the course itself, my only real gripe was that the tee boxes were so hard it was difficult to even get your tee into them. The whole course was understandably pretty dry and hard due to lack of rain, but the grass wasn't burnt out and I didn't mind the extra roll on many of my shots. There were a few water hazards to keep things interesting and the greens were immaculate.
If you want to get a cheap round of golf in at a decent course, this definitely gets the job done.
Fun Course
Second time playing Village Green. Although this time it was much dryer than the Spring it still has a couple holes that were a little sloppy. Course is a fun course. Character but not overly challenging. Course was in great shape and the had crews working on fine tuning it. A good sign they’re willing to invest I the course. People were super friendly. From the woman that sent me off, to the crews that pointed my ball out on a blind shot to the starter. Views of Lake Erie on a handful of holes is awesome on a sunny day. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I’ll be back!!!
Very nice course
If there was anything wrong, I would have to say that while the course was in great condition, anything off the fairway was quite overgrown. Lost a few balls that were just off the fairway.
