Split Rock Golf Club
About
Split Rock Golf Club was carved from the rolling countryside of northern Pickaway County. Its picturesque design is perfectly in sync with the natural surroundings. Designed by the local design team of Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry, the golf course actually required little manipulation since much of the challenge comes from the natural features of the undulating terrain. The layout has slightly different nines that offer a diversity that appeals to a range of skill levels. The front nine is more open and forgiving while the back nine has tighter fairways that are lined with trees. Water is not a prominent presence at Split Rock Golf Club but it does come into play. In addition to the golf course, golfers are welcome to use the driving range and putting greens before teeing off.

Facilities a bit outdated but great for the price
Friendly staff and patrons, decent food/drink, course conditions were wet but overall we had a great time. We'll definitely be back for more rounds especially when the spring showers let up a bit.
try again when not wet
First impression, this course looked fun. Wide open, but windy. The club house wreaked of smoke... so much it choked me up. The course was wet, but we went after it rained for like three days straight. EVERY drive plugged. We lost balls in the middle of the fairway, because we couldn't find them plugged. I bet this course is super fun when the ball can roll.
The course has funs shots. You will utilize a lot of different clubs. The greens are fun, some serious elevation changes. Driving range was closed on this day. Carts are slow. They seem to be governed really slow speed. Barely got up some of the cart paths. Par threes are short.
Split Rock
By the time we left the course around 4pm the temperature was 80 degrees. Awesome for central Ohio for late October. Course offers a lot of elevation changes. Very pleasant. Appears they aerated the greens within the last several weeks. Green speed was variable. Problem with this time of year at Split Rock are the leaves on many greens. Causes frustration. Only golf course in this area that sells Rolling Rock beer, big plus in my world! Club house is very pleasing.
a pretty course. elevation changes throughout the course.
played in under 3.5hrs. good shape. greens consistant speed. fun and challenging holes throughout the course.
Great round of golf
Had a good round of golf.the people at the
coarse where really friendly, couarse was in
good shape but they they had worked on the greens
an where bumpy.I teamed up with 3 guys an had a
great time.
Beautiful Day for Golf!
working on back 9... we had to play front 9 twice.
no problems ... very good staff!
I have played the course before
I had to cancel this particular round since the course was being worked on... At least 9 holes of the course. I do enjoy the course and the food is better than most courses.
Great Value
Course was in great shape. Open layout with greens that are fast but fair. Staff was very friendly. A fantastic value for the price.
Beautiful!
Beautiful course. Great value for the money. The clubhouse has been nice and clean every time we've played and the staff very friendly.
That's one of our favorite places to golf.
Temporary problem?
The greens had some kind of disease, brown areas and there were hundreds of little black hard shell bugs covering the greens. The Pro shop had treated for the bugs the day before but it had no effect on the day after.
Greens are in rough shape
Greens are in rough shape. Other than that its good and a fun course to play!
Split Rock
Course was dry and fast. Greens a little Slow. Overall very pleased with the course conditions given all the bad weather so far this year
course was hard and dry
Very windy day. the course is for the most part wide open. Greens were very firm but slow
Split Gock
Very nice course. Not too difficult to enjoy with a newer golfer.
fun course had a good time
Fun course we got to start on the back mine since the front mine was busy. Made our round go fast since we didn't have anyone behind us or in front of us.
Great course with some challenge
We booked a threesome through GolfNow to play this course. I have played here before and really enjoyed the course and the layout. The course was not particularly challenging, but a wayward shot can offer difficultly.
The course is in good condition and the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed the par threes on this course.
Would definitely play here again if the deal was right.
Nice round...very short
This was a nice course to play but seems very short. Overall it was very well-maintained… No complaints but not too exciting either. I played solo in the middle of the afternoon for $12, good value.
Great conditions and staff, not too long
Really enjoyable course, great track and challenging. great conditions and great staff. Play was timely and rangers kept up the pace but not too fast and not with players pushing slower players and intimidated them. My wife and I played of a Father and his 3 kids, great to see <12 year old's playing. Nice course and great people.
Enjoyable!
The course is short but each hole has unique character. Greens were average speed but rolled smoothly. Hole 18 may be one of the best finishing holes in Columbus. Always fun to play.
