About
Willow Run Golf Course was designed by a ubiquitous name in central Ohio, Jack Kidwell. The local designer played a role in creating many of the state's courses but he infused a different character into each. Willow Run has an interesting layout that will test your shot making skills as well as your course management capabilities. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways are accented with Ohio bluegrass. Correct placement off the tees is the key to doing well, especially on the front nine. Plenty of water comes into play throughout the golf course as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Willow Run's back nine boasts one of the most challenging par 4s in Ohio, the 13th. The green on this tricky hole is fronted by a meandering creek.

This course is well maintained
I found this course to be a challenging course. It Is a course that I'll be playing again in the near future. If you have a chance to play Willow Run and like a challenge then you have to play this course.
Best value in town
I enjoyed the course. It was in good shape and was a steal for the price I paid. The all you can play part was a sales pitch. Course was full and could not go out again for 4 hours. Still a great value. Will play it again soon.
NIce Round
The course is short and no driving range.
There were a lot of players around. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was paired with a group of regulars who were quite fun and invited back to join their group which I will probably do.
Disappointing day of golf.
Course condition was below expectations. Grass was long around greens and off the fairways. It had rained the night before and course was really wet. Pace of play was slow as 5 some was permitted to play in front of us.
Nice course
Nice course overall. Love the layout. Great value. Cuts tend to be a little long. Stays pretty wet after a rain. Cart paths definitely need attention. Usually pretty crowded durning the week, so expect some delays.
Good Golf
A nice quick out into the country and a well-kept course. Plenty of hazards to work around and hone your game, fairways and greens in very good shape. Only issue was cart paths that are in need of repaving.
Not so good
Grass was not clean clipping was on 1 st cut . I will pay more to play another course
Not long but nice layout.
The course played tougher than its 6200 yardage. The rough was thick and the greens hard and fast. Need to be in the fairway to score decent. Fun course pace of play was great . Only draw back was a few tee boxes were uneven and difficult to find level spots. I will be back it was the best value I've had in quite some time.
I lost my ball, again and again and again
I wasn't expecting much considering how brutal the whether has been, I keep remembering that song in my head, "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with" I tried to love this golf course but, had several beers, applied the beer goggles but still couldn't seem to find it. High fairway grass, or ground hogs stealing them but I kept loosing my balls. We were told to stay on the cart path but they must of hired the city of Columbus to re-pave the cart paths because there were pot holes everywhere, I spilled my beer numerous times. The place seems rundown, 7 years ago I really enjoyed playing here, what happened?
The course is an excellent condition.
Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was fantastic.
Solid golf course
This is a good course which offers challenges but is fun to play. Offers great rates and consequently a golfer on budget has opportunity to play more than at a high price course.
Forgotten Gem
Course is a lot of fun to play. No longer visible from Rt 161, as it used to be. Seems like a find. Not a championship course, but very playable. A fair amount game is required, especially on the back nine. Clean and friendly.
Good Golf at a great value!
After the winter and spring we have had I was impressed that the greens were in good shape. Fairways were getting green and the course was good if you hit it where you were suppose to. Only had a few wet spots, but it is April in Ohio.
willow run 3-19-2014
course in decent shape with all the recent rain and snow. It was cart path only . ground was soft and lost balls in fairway only because course was soft.great course when dry but it was first time out for year .Very good value for this time of year
Course was in good shape & not busy
Some of the tees are closed for winter recovery but greens held & rolled good. Lost couple of decent shots in the leaves. We played 18 in about 2.5 hrs. but started on back nine since there was a wait on #1.
great greens were very fast
nice course for the money had great greens were very fast
play was good
Beautiful in the fall!
What a great value. Course is in good condition. Beautiful layout.
Nice with one exception
The course itself was great condition. The only bad part was the cart path. It's in desperate need of resurfacing, but as far as play goes the course was in very good condition.
This course has come a long way
I have played this course for many years and the improvements that have been made to this course are paying off. The greens were smooth and true. The fairways are getting much better. It's not the hardest course I've ever played but it is challenging. Nice way to spend 4 hours.
