Willow Run Golf Course

About
Willow Run Golf Course was designed by a ubiquitous name in central Ohio, Jack Kidwell. The local designer played a role in creating many of the state's courses but he infused a different character into each. Willow Run has an interesting layout that will test your shot making skills as well as your course management capabilities. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways are accented with Ohio bluegrass. Correct placement off the tees is the key to doing well, especially on the front nine. Plenty of water comes into play throughout the golf course as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Willow Run's back nine boasts one of the most challenging par 4s in Ohio, the 13th. The green on this tricky hole is fronted by a meandering creek.

Great Course
Cart was a little hard to drive on cart path, but all in all it was enjoyable. Not too crowded and a beautiful evening.
Great value
This is just a good well run litttle mom and pop golf course. Fun layout. Greens were good. Great course for all handicaps. This not a fancy course but just a fun playable course. I would highly recommend it. For the money it is a great value.
Willow Rundown
Fairways, greens, and most tee boxes decent. A hand full of the tee boxes were tore up. Golf carts were ragged and the cart paths had holes all over the place. I drove mostly on the grass to avoid the potholes.
I like this course
I live in Florida so probably won't play this course again but it is worth checking out...a lot of water and hills, slow 4 1/2 hour round...if you are in the area and a pretty good golfer go for it....not any place for beginners
No relief for a broken driver
I've been a member of willows for 5+ years, but the owner just does not run good customer service. Recently, my golf bag fell off my cart due to a defective strap on hole 2 and broke my driver in half. (cart strap would not clasp correctly, even when latched). I called the marshall out, he inspected, agreed, and switched carts with me, and told me to speak to the clubhouse when I finished my round. I was with a foursome of friends and they all saw that I could easily pull the strap even when clasped. However, when I met with the owner, he said he inspected the cart, it looked fine to him, and he would not replace my driver. There is NO way that cart was fine. I think they fixed the clasp while I was on the course. They chose to not replace my shaft or even provide any type of relief for my broken driver. Just horrible service for such a constant customer and member. I will look to minimize any visits in the future, and I would not recommend this course due to the ownership being run by greedy pigs!
Nice rural course.
Very nice place. Had a great round.
Electric carts are always a plus for me.
Average course, needs some TLC.
The greens and fairways were pretty good, and the tee boxes were OK. Had a few blind shots and then discovered hazards in fairways so we lost balls on good shots. Cart paths need lots of work. If the price is right, I would play there again.
Always a great round!
I have been playing this course for twenty years. I look forward to playing every time. The course is in good shape, and always a challenge.
Worth the price
The course and greens are in really good shape. The cart paths are kidney busters!! Since course is due to be sold soon, they are not putting a lot of money in repairs. The price is right so I plan on playing there several times this year.
Average value for the cost. Course was in very good condition following the recent rain. The cart path needs significant work though, literally undrivable in parts. Tried to be respectful of the 90 degrees but cans were bouncing out of the cup holders. Would love to see any kind of putting green someday.
Sorry to bother you, but I am one of the assistant managers at Willow Run golf course in Pataskala Ohio. You said you were a member I was just wondering if you were mistaking this course with another course with a similar name,? I’m not trying to accuse you of anything, definitely a terrible accident… but this is some thing we would never let happen. I know it’s been over a year but just checking in. Please respond if Willow Run in Pataskala Ohio is the course, and we will do what we can to fix the situation.
