Everything was great. The only thing that needs improvement would be they need more sand in the traps.

Fun layout, great greens. The tee boxes needed some TLC. I would definitely play again

The course is a challenge playing 6400 yards, next set of tees is 5400 (too short), with many holes being fairly open. The par 3s are pretty tight, but not too dangerous. The bunkers are huge and were in super condition! I think their greens were best I played all season...Fast but rolled so smooth. We had a great time played below handicap, looking forward to the next chance to play course again. A definite to play for any golfer.

I've played Cumberland Trail at least 8-10 times per year since it opened. The course layout is very good with it being open design on the front nine and somewhat wooded on the back nine. The greens are typically in great shape. The staff is excellent and they make you feel right at home. I would, and have recommended this course to any golfer.

The only negative was most of the bunkers were in bad shape. All bent course in great shape

Course was in good shape but the grounds crew are over watering around the greens. This makes shot making into the green difficult. Greens were good and tee boxes were fine. Fairways were in good shape over over watered.

Couple bunkers are under construction the others were acceptable.

Had heard about Cumberland for a few years; first time I played it. I came away disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Starter took an extra minute or so (that he didn't have) to explain some key areas of the course. The layout is fantastic; there are some really good golf holes and each one has its own character. The disappointment came with the conditions. This was the last of three courses played over two days (Longaberger/Granville) and it was by far in the worst shape. The course is abused by too much play and players who refuse to clean up the course. I could have fixed between 50 to 100 ball marks on each green. Love the speed of the greens; dislike the double and triple dribbles my group experienced due to ball marks not properly fixed. (Adding Rule 35.1 to the USGA Rule Book: Fix your ball mark and three others.) Bunkers were not in good condition but it looks as if they are starting the process of cleaning them up. I would highly recommend this course for its layout, but go there with the expectation of playing a course that is abused by those who play it.

Course was in excellent shape. Every green is well bunkered and requires you to carry an approach shot to the green. I would highly recommend this course.

The course is a great layout and a very good value. However, the greens have a lot of ball marks that were not fixed. Overall, I think it is one of the best public courses to play in central ohio for the price.

Overall very nice. Sand traps are not in good shape and there are many. Fairways and greens are some of the nicest around.

rained first 4 holes. water in several fairways. greens were still quick and held really well. always a joy to play.

I reviewed this course two weeks ago.. Nice course in great shape but still working on the bunkers. Proshop guy was great. Here is my issue. I booked a 6 am tee time on Tuesday for Saturday. On Thursday I get a call from someone at Cumberland Trail stating that here is a scheduled members only group game( was told a foursome) that tees off first and that we would be teeing off at 608 am. We were a twosome. When I arrived and paid went to the starter to check in and was told that we would be paired up and tee off at 627am. Don't know what happened there. Lost almost a half hour there. At that point I was a little bothered since we schedule that tee time due to other scheduled things that day. Two foursomes and a twosome are then allowed to tee off ahead of us and we don't tee off until 646am. I am told at that point by the starter that members take priority. The course is very nice.. I love it. But to delay a twosome 46 minutes who booked online and are paying customers only to wait the next 4 hours 20 min for each shot is not ok. It wasn't super slow but my partner and I play in 2 and a half hours if first off. If the tee time is not available then don't offer it. I Really like the course, layout, and Cindi (customer service/pr) was great to correspond with after my previous round. But don't bump scheduled tee times to let members jump groups only to have everyone else wait.

For the course conditions I would go to a high 3 star rating. The value is exceptional. From the tips, there are some difficult holes. A good course to play close to C'bus.

Tee to green the course is in very good condition. The bunkers are unplayable and are in need of a major overhaul,. It is a shame because the course used to be one of my favorites.

This was a great value through GolfNow.com. Course is in very good shape (some of the best greens in Central Ohio) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend giving CT a try. (Only negative -- and this has nothing to do with the course or the management -- but please, please fix your ball marks... I fixed several on each green and the greens were in very good shape, but it only takes a few seconds to fix a ball mark so please do so...)

Not sure what the issue was, lots of play or lack of maintenance. The greens had a rough day when I played. People leaving cleat marks, very slow and full of ill-repaired divots.

I had a great time at cumberland trail. The round started a little slow, i think due to the first 5 holes have the 2 par 5s on it. But after that the pace was about average for a saturday morning (11am start). The course itself was challanging. The fairways were in great condition and wide in most landing areas for tee shots. It even challanges your course management, some tee shot you cant use driver. I like a course that makes me think about my shots from tee to hole. the greens were in the best shape of any greens ive played this year, considering the harsh winter us golfers suffered through. And were a challange, fast but fair and even all the way around. The rough was fair and even all the way around as well. Even the links style rough that wasnt on every hole but some, was very fair. I had lunch at the turn and had a great turkey sandwich it wasnt thin turkey either thick with nice fresh lettuce tomato and pickle and it came with a bag of chips for $5.50. The only bad thing i have for this course and it wasnt a big deal at all, was the houses on the tee boxes. But hey, for a 4th of July weekend it was nothing and i did have some nice banter with the kids sliding in their blow-up slip and slide bouncy castle type of thing. No i didnt get a turn. It had a weight limit. So i WILL be going back to this beautiful and challanging course sooner rather than later. Todd (11 handicap)

First, I really enjoyed the course. However, the bunkers are...under construction??full of rock??packed like clay?? The greens are fast/true but people need to learn to fix their ball marks. The fairways are in pretty good shape, but I can't get over the bunkers. There were a few that had fresh fluffy sand, there were a few under water and compacted with tennis ball sized rock, and there were a few that had trenches dug down the middle. I really want to play this course again but the bunkers need addressed.

I have played CT a few times, but it has been a few years. The layout is quite good, but there seemed to always be some course condition and pace of play issues. Not much has changed. Pace was not great (4:40 for 18). The greens are usually hyped as some of the better greens in Columbus, but on this day they were slow and overrun with ball marks. I was also disappointed to find out (after paying for the range) that it is irons only. The worst part of the round by far was the bunkers. I have played courses with poor traps before (usually due to not enough sand), but the traps here are unmatched in their terribleness. The traps were similar to dirt cart paths. There was a sign in the pro shop that a trap on hole #9 was under repair, which I found comical as all of the traps were in the same state. Considering you can play other good courses for similar amounts of money around Columbus, I would not recommend the trip out to CT.

Greens were in bad shape! I don't think anyone repairs there divots on the greens!! Staff could spend 5 hrs plus repairing other peoples divots!! Also I hope they fix the bunkers soon all mud!! No sand at all.
