About
Windmill Lakes Golf Club consistently ranks as one of the best courses in the state and is definitely the top golf course in northeastern Ohio. Located in Ravenna, it is the home course for the men's and women's golf teams at Kent State, which is only six miles east of the club. The large, undulating greens are the layout's defining feature. The greens also have a reputation for being some of the best-maintained in the area, allowing them to roll fast and true. The fairways, tee boxes, and rough also boast the same great conditions. More than 50 bunkers are strategically placed throughout the golf course and there are seven lakes that provide water hazards. The Windmill Lakes layout, which measures to just under 7,000 yards, only has two par 5s but there are several long par 4s that demand accurate drives and strong iron play.

Great course
This course is fantastic, always enjoy playing here, the GPS in the cart is just the icing on the cake, makes it feel like you have your own caddy at all times

My cousin and I live in a suburb of Cleveland and came across a terrific deal for 9 holes at Windmill Lakes. He has played the course before, but it was my first time and man was I pleased. The course is a challenge, but nothing too crazy. They provide 4 tee distances so anyone can adapt to the course. My only gripe with the course is that the 9th hole runs parallel and reciprocates the driving range. My 9th tee shot had landed towards the right side of the fairway and I spent some time scavenging through range balls before finally giving up. But I couldn't dock them for this, they could put up a net but it would add a cheesy look to such a beautiful course. But if they ever wanted to give me a deal on another round then I couldn't complain :)

Best shape I have ever seen it in
Overall experience was excellent, We play there all the time. Only complaint is that the course does not pair up Twosomes and the round took 4:45 because of the twosomes in front of us.

Over booked
Got stuck behind another group and ended up playing with them... Also had a group behind us breathing down our backs the whole front nine. After the turn we were prompted to start at 12 and play to 18 then revert back for 10 and 11 to accommodate a big group.... A little unorthodox and clustered but still a nice course and very nice people.

One of my favorites
Always a treat to play Wind Mill Lakes. Staff just finished a tournament on Monday. Greens rolled great. I appreciate the vision for improvement as they where paving new cart paths. Perfect day

What a great place to play a round of golf. Terrific course - perfect landscaping, well manicured, friendly staff, and huge pro shop. Windmill Lakes has everything you want in a course. I 100% recommend to all golfers and will be back myself!

Very well maintained course

Course in great shape
The fairways and greens where the best I have played all year. The only negative was conditions requires staying on cart paths only which made Ohio road conditions seem good. Really enjoyed having gps right on the carts.

Good track. Stay on the rails.
Very nice and tough 18. Greens roll great. Bunkers have good sand. What makes the course is the undulating putting surfaces. Keep it the short grass if you can.

great facility
Course is fantastic. Gps carts and staff really friendly. Some greens had some rough spots but it appeared as if they were taking care of it. Clubhouse was well stocked with good prices. A ++
