Windmill Lakes Golf Club

The course is in great shape, the greens and fairways are pure. A lot of the holes are very similar though, long and treelined par 4s. There's not a lot of variation of hole design. But it is a classic golf course and it's a pleasure to play.

We usually make a couple trips a year to Windmill and wonder why we do not play more often. Fun course, well maintained, helpful staff, the always well stocked pro shop....what more do you need. Oh yes, the weather was beautiful!

took a foursome on a Saturday afternoon. we had a great time the course was gorgeous.

Typical slow pace of play in the afternoon. no ranger was visible. They have their highly regarded tent sale going on which was an added bonus to the round.

The course was in great condition. The greens were large and very undulating. Had a very nice bar area in the clubhouse.

I really like this course. It was well maintained. It was very challenging and diverse. I would definitely go back. My only complaint is that I was a solo and got paired up with a twosome. The course was slow. No one ahead or behind my group. I felt they could have been more accommodating.

Knowledgeable, courteous staff. Course in beautiful condition. At the time greens and fairways were in tournament condition - hard and fast with challenging pin placements. Enjoyed the on-board GPS and the flip chart explaining where the hazards and pinsplacements might be. Electric cart performed flawlessly.

My driver(Ping Anser 2013) and 3 wood (Titliest 910 F), both left-handed, got stolen after my round. I was taking my bag to my car in the parking, but decided to make a quick stop at restroom inside of the bar. I left my bag right outside of the front door against the corner, and the driver and the 3-wood were gone when I came out in about 2 min. I leaned that similar things happened before and they caught a guy from a near-by college, who sell the stolen clubs right away to 2nd-swing or other places for cash. Apparently, the same thing is still happening. And the course has not done anything to prevent this from happening again.

I've played there many many times ...now I get a bad taste in my mouth and will think twice to play there again. And would advise anyone with good clubs think twice about playing there.

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast and that's the way I like them. The only problem was we did not get a chance to finish due to the weather. Looking forward to going back.

The course was in wonderful condition. The practice area is well maintained. The pace of play is above average. I finished in 4 hours for 18 holes. The pro shop has anything you want at good prices. Many items on sale. If you have never played here. It is a must to put on your list. The greens are large. They are broken down into 6 sections on the score card. Every day they put the pins in a new pin position and it is posted at the 1st and 9th tee. All carts have GPS location devices. This is one reason the pace of play is good. Be prepared to get challenged!

Greens, fairways, and sand all very nicely groomed and in good shape.Will play again.

Really nice course. True quick greens, tees were perfect, fairways were outstanding. There are some marshy spots, which could create some issues w heavy rain, but play this one dry its a real treat. Excellent will absolutely play again

Outstading Starter and Clubhouse.

Great lay-out and played in less than 3.5 hours on a Friday afternoon.

Overall an excellent course. Some holes require pin point accuracy and some holes let you air it out. Very good balance.
Fairways / rough / bunkers and greens were maintained very nicely. I thought the greens were a bit slow but they were still very smooth and in very good condition.
Despite my 45 minute drive, I will play here again.

This is Kent State University's home course and from the back tees it is quite a challenge. Some of the greens have a lot of movement and it can be difficult to judge both the speed and the amount of break.

This course has always been well maintained and this visit was more of the same. While I've never seen a ranger out during my rounds here, it seems that the hole setup works to police itself to keep play moving. A bit off the beaten path but well worth the drive.

This is Kent State's home course.Great track that's challenging, but not overly so. Some tight treelines, and Greens with huge undulations. Course is in really nice shape.

Great course. Very challenging, super shape. Very scenic. Home of the nationally ranked Kent State U. golf team. A little pricey to play w/o the Golf Now discount. A must play if in the area. One of NE Ohio's best public courses.
