About
Windmill Lakes Golf Club consistently ranks as one of the best courses in the state and is definitely the top golf course in northeastern Ohio. Located in Ravenna, it is the home course for the men's and women's golf teams at Kent State, which is only six miles east of the club. The large, undulating greens are the layout's defining feature. The greens also have a reputation for being some of the best-maintained in the area, allowing them to roll fast and true. The fairways, tee boxes, and rough also boast the same great conditions. More than 50 bunkers are strategically placed throughout the golf course and there are seven lakes that provide water hazards. The Windmill Lakes layout, which measures to just under 7,000 yards, only has two par 5s but there are several long par 4s that demand accurate drives and strong iron play.

Pace and conditions were good
Greens in good shape and the pace of play was great. Usually a bit tighter but it was a comfortable pace today. Course played and was in good shape all around

Membership
I guess being a member an early morning tee time is out of the question. Tried at 12:06 am 3 days prior according to the rules and couldn't get on until after noon. They told me sorry they "missed the mark ".Tried again 2 weeks later at 4am three days prior and the best they got is 11:52 missing the mark again?

Fun course
Usually love this course, but it was cart path only. There was a lot of cut grass left all over fairway. Grass too tall off fairways. And it was very very busy. I’m sure cart path only held up the pace of play.. No carts in parking lot. I still give a decent review for I normally like the course.

What does a member have to do to get an early morning tee time? Booked tee time at 12:09 am 3 days prior according to the rules and the best I could get was 12:24 for 7/9/21.

Peak Condition
I have started playing Windmill again this summer after spending previous years at Signature of Solon. I like to call Windmill “Signature of Ravenna” now. The course is in amazing shape this year after the new drainage system was added in. The course plays long and offers plenty of challenges for all levels. The staff is super friendly as well. Every person I have recommended this course to ended up loving it. Keep up the great work Windmill!

Wow. Simply wow
Windmill Lakes was in awesome shape. The fairways were meticulous and the greens were championship speed and conditions. It was worth the money and probably worth more than what they charge. They had a great lunch special at the turn and kept everyone moving. I wish I could play here every day .

Disappointed
I’ve played this course many times as I’ve grown up in the area. Course conditions, layout, and staff are great one of the best in NE Ohio. EVERY TIME I play here pace of play is a major issue. Today was the final straw! Had a tee time for four people, we had to wait half an hour to tee off after our tee time because they just let people go ahead instead of keeping correct spacing between groups. It took us over 3 HOURS to play 9 holes! They did give us a rain check for second nine but to me, that’s unacceptable I will never go back! It’s a shame

Terrible management
Tee time was 11:36 didn’t tee off until 12:10 because they let walk on golfers without a tee time. Then the round took 3hrs for the front 9 holes. Left after 9 holes because pace of play was so slow. They need to space out there tee time better to keep pace of play up.
