Reid Park Golf Club - North Course
About
There are two 18-hole courses at Reid Park Golf Club, the North and the South. The courses have been providing one of the greater Springfield area's best golf values for over 40 years. The championship North Course is the longer and more challenging of the two. The South Course is open and walkable while the North Course features a hillier terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Mature trees frame the large, slick greens and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout. Many locals consider it to be one of the toughest golf courses in the area. Though there are different tees so that you can play to your skill level, beginners may want to stick with the South Course, which still has challenges but is more player-friendly than the North.

Conditions
I know it’s early in the season but, this course was in terrible condition. It’s no longer being run by the city of Springfield. We played the North course which was always the nicer and most challenging of the two courses. I will play it again later in the season but, if it hasn’t done a complete 360 over its current condition I will just cross this course off the list. What a shame my only thought about this course right now is don’t waste your time or money.
Reid North GC
Hadn’t played this course in several years. The course was in good shape for the last of October. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Very nice prr shop and excellent food service. Would highly recommend. North course is tougher than the South.
North course
My buddy and I played on the North course on Friday. The course was as I remember, with a few greens that looked suspect at best. We did have a great time, I would recommend either North or South courses.
Great course
Will definitely be back to this course. Could have been mowed, but overall, was in pretty good condition. Had a couple greens that could use some work. Will be back.
Challenging course that held up well in drought conditions
Played the North course on Friday morning. We've been in quite a drought here in Central Ohio, a month of no rain, but the course was in as good of shape as you could expect. For $40 for 18 and a cart, you would be hard pressed to find better value.
Pin placements were wonderfully difficult. Couple of greens showing that we are in fact in a drought, but staff was doing all that could be expected.
Will definitely play again, hopefully under normal conditions.
Had Reid Pk all to ourselves
The greens have taken a hit in this recent drought. There are some quirky holes on the North course such as 9 which some distance to the pond would be nice. 11 has a fairway that is not necessarily running the same way as the hole? 13 would be nice to know how far the creek is from the tee box.the tee boxes have also taken a hit in the drought.
Solid course!
First time playing, very nice course with a nice layout. North is hilly with challenging greens super fun. All the staff was nice.
Tough course
The course was a bit baked out, but that's not too uncommon for a muni course this time of year. The layout is always strong, and the back 9 is just such a fun challenge.
