Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Golfer Reviews
Improved condition
I haven’t played here in 12 years but was pleasantly surprised at the course conditions. There was a shotgun start outing coming off the course as we teed off so the front nine pace of play was awesome. We weren’t very happy when we made the turn in 80 minutes to find 2 groups waiting to tee off in hole 10 and 4 groups already in front of them. We skipped 4 holes to get in front of them, so didn’t get in our full 18 holes.
Needs work
Roses Run has plenty of potential but I've played better local public courses for less. It appears that the course has been neglected and has terrible draining. Even the cart had problems.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We, with the recent rain we are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens from the water on the course. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Slippery slope.
This course used to be immaculate, greens were awful (huge pieces missing , fairways were less than ideal and tee boxes looked like a par 3 on each hole. It’s a shame really. And why they are still charging a premium price for a mediocre at beat course is baffling. Won’t be back this year. Probably not even next year.

It's a Shame
This golf course could be one of the best in the area, instead it has went down hill. The golf carts are in poor condition. The tee box's a terrible mostly dirt.. Fairways and like all golf course in Northeast Ohio are great but Roses are not so good???. The greens should be in great shape but they are not. Hot dogs are 4.00 dollars and should be free for playing on this course. It is like they are just letting it fall a part so they could sell and put houses up. IT IS A SHAME because I love to play there.

Father's Day round with my son
Returned to Ohio to visit my 80 year-old Dad, and my son drove up from Florida, too. Roses Run was convenient to Dad's house and available on the afternoon of Father's Day.
The layout is fairly challenging. Some narrow holes and forced carries. The greens rolled well, and we enjoyed ourselves until an afternoon thunderstorm ended our day prematurely
Great value, great layout
Course was in great condition. Excellent hole designs. Very challenging, bring your A game
OK
The greens were in bad shape but rolled ok. The tee boxes were in really bad shape.
For $50 you think it would be in better shape.
Slow play...no ranger to move play along.

Great Course But Cart Issue
The course has a great challenging layout. Front nine is wonderful with lots of well placed water hazards. Back nine is hilly and tests you. Overall really enjoyed it but two issues. Tee boxes in rough shape and my cart ran out of juice on the 16th and did not make it up the hills to the clubhouse which was disappointing.
Frustraed
My wife and I have been playing this course anywhere from 5-10 times a year for the past four years and generally love it and the layout. We booked a tee time for Saturday morning, showed up early and waited to tee off. The starter indicated there was a group in front of us which generally never bothers us. Needless to say this group had no plans for the remainder of the day and took their sweet time on every hole. We never once saw a ranger and even mentioned to the staff at the turn it was very slow. Our tee time was 9:52 which we didn't actually get to hit until 10:05 as the group in front of us was searching for balls, taking drops, etc. We finished up at 3:20. Absolutely ridiculous to pay that much for a round of gold and it take close to 5.5 hours. I emailed the course manager and received a response that didn't make me want to come back to this course. If you have absolutely nothing to do all day I highly recommend the course.
Hello, thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Roses Run Country Club.
Great course, good layout. Not as well manicured as I expected.
The layout is awesome and one of my favorites around. They just need to keep up with it. It wasn’t in the best shape as I’ve seen it, and it was a little disappointing. Overall, it’s challenging and has demanding holes. Not a course for your average Saturday golfer.
Pace of play is just ignored
No rangers and if you want a 6+ hour round of golf this is your course. Nobody cares. Just play and three hit all day long of the tees. Tell the staff it’s slow and they will do nothing. It truly is a waste of $100
Course was not in great shape, bumpy greens and a few tee boxes with little grass, just a lot of divots/dirt. Need a marshal to deal with slow play - A foursome two groups in front of us fell a full THREE holes behind the group in front of them by the 13th hole!

Slow play
6 hour round. Group in front of us were terrible. No excuse for them to playing at all. The par 5's are the worst set up I've played.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Rundown cow pasture
This course has an absolutely beautiful layout but the conditions are complete garbage the fairways aren’t moan while the greens are in terrible shape the carts can’t even hold a charge to get you around the course for different golf carts lost power that we saw in one round of golf we had to push our cart back in from the 15th hole it was a piece of garbage today

Great Course
Course was in good condition, greens and fairways in good shape. Tee boxes a little iffy. They apparently lost their water system and were getting it back on line. For a course with challenging holes and great lay out the cost can’t be beat.
