Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Golfer Reviews
Roses run
The tee boxes were mostly all divots and dead grass. Bunkers still had weeds and rakes were scarce. This course can be a really nice course if a bit of money was put into maintenance
Looked terrible
We play Roses a lot and I have never seen it look this bad. Tee boxes were torn up and covered with old tees and trash cans look like they haven’t been emptied in days. Greens were worst I’ve seen. Hopefully they bounce back

Great track, challenging layout
Great track, with a challenging layout. The greens and tee boxes are currently pretty bad, but the fairways are nice and firm adding 10-15 yards to your drive
Terrible conditions
Even the fairways were in bad shape. Greens looked like they hadn’t been managed since the week before. A real shame because this course used to be one of my favorite but not anymore. Don’t waste your money/time here.

CEO
Great layout, just unhappy with the conditions of the course. No way the fees should be $50+ with uncut greens, fringes, 2nd cut, bunkers and grass growing out the bunkers. Tee boxes are not kept and the golf carts seems to be from the 1970's. No ranger and pace of play was bad because of it, letting out five and six some.

Bad Management
We paid for an 18-hole round of golf for a 4-some. Because of the wet course and perhaps an unnecessary cart path only rule that we learned of at check-in, the course was not crowded and we had no one in front of us for 9 holes. At the turn the so-called starter allowed a 3 some to go off on the back 9 ahead of us. In response to a complaint for doing so, he said if they slowed us up he would require them to let us play thru. In the absence of a course ranger and him standing inside the cart storage area to stay out of the wind, he failed to do what he promised.
If you like slow play for 9 holes, an unnecessary cart path only rule, a horrible starter and a ton of goose poop, this is the place to play.
Needless to say, we won't be back, unless we are given a free round on a day when that starter stays at home.
Poorly managed
Had to wait 45-50 minutes after my scheduled tee time before teeing because they were out of carts. How do you not enough have enough carts to support your tee times and also charge $50/round?? Poor management is how. I enjoy the course layout, but it is not managed very well.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Roses Run Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
You want a golf ball?
Overbooked, poor conditions and extremely rude kid at the pro shop. Think his name was Phil. We get it, you guys were slammed but when someone pays 200 bucks for a round of golf, you would at the very least expect working golf carts. Our second cart barely ran, called on hole two, they never came out. At the turn they tell us sorry we don't have any more. We go in to the pro shop, tell the guy. The kid was just out of control rude. At one point he said "what do you want me to do? It's busy. You want a golf ball?" and started laughing in my face. So ya I would not recommend this place.
Coarse is very fun to pkay
5 hrs to play. Slow play. Need some one to push players
Great course
The only issues I have are the tee boxes are in bad shape and a few of the greens need some work (especially#15). Other than those it's one of the best courses in the area.
The course was in really good condition except the greens. They haven't finished growing back in from the spring aeration. Some areas in the fairways were wet and muddy, but overall very playable.
