Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Golfer Reviews
Potential
I’ve played Roses Run over the years and it’s been consistently the same. Fun for the right price. The course could be incredible with maintenance and water. The tee boxes are uneven and absolutely beat up on almost every hole. And some of the greens could just flat out use some TLC. I believe the 13th green is the one that had just a big patch of dirt on it. The layout is fun and If you can get a good deal, go for it!

Fantastic course.
Somewhat of a drive from Strongsville but it was well worth it. Great layout, slick greens and strategic bunkers. Challenging but fun course.
Challenging
The average golfer will find this course challenging. It requires accuracy and driving distance to score well. The course is maintained with interesting terrain. Worth the time and money to play it.
The course was very nice
The first 9 is in residential areas but as long as you dont slice the ball a lot you are fine from hitting a house the back nine is beautiful the 16 is a par 3 i believe that if you draw or slice it to the right the houses are right next to the green so be careful other then that an amazing course they have restrooms on the course every few holes so thats cool
First Time Out in 19
Thought I had a single tee time, but was placed with three senior citizens instead. They were great, but the pace of play ahead of us was ridiculous! 10 to 15 minutes on each tee on the back nine. Tee'd off at 11:44 am finished at around 5:30 pm. Way too long and too hot
Very slow play; never saw a Marshall. Poor layout amid houses. Greens need lots of attention.
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing Roses Run Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.

Great feel
Just like scorecard says, a public course that’s like a private club.. very unique holes and variety.. friendly folks from pro shop to guys taking in carts after a round. Definitely will go back!
Great course-Mindful of when you go
Overall this was a great course that I've never golfed before. There are definitely a few narrow holes on the back 9 especially the first par 5. Do not try to walk this course if they even allow it. Some of the holes are very spread out. I am not sure if it was the day I chose or not, but it was absolutely packed. My tee time was at 12:09 and I didn't tee off until almost 1. It took 5.5 hours to golf a full 18, and I was waiting on almost all holes. They were out of carts when I got there. Overall I really enjoyed the course, but I did not enjoy the wait.
Nice course
I've played here many times. It's one of my favorites in the area. The only problem today was pace of play. 6 hours is way too long. They put a 5some out and they clogged up the course. That would be ok if it was a week day afternoon league, but not on primetime one weekend!
Just a gem
Just absolutely one of my favs ... great layout. All good till you enter “Narnia” on #12 tee :)...then ... 13... and then 14......
A total blast every time ... love it !
Track that was a track
If you are into horse racing and golf, you’ll love this course. It used to be a farm where they trained thoroughbreds. They have some memorabilia including an old starting here by the parking lot. All the surrounding streets are named after racetracks in the US. Really cool. Hole 12 is a monster and holes 13,14 and 15 are right on top of each other, but it’s a great course.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Roses Run Country Club.

Slow and needs mowing
9:20 am tee time. Two groups in front of us was a fivesome, group behind us played a sixsome. Took over 3 hours to play 9 holes.
The rough had not been mowed in quite a long time and it had dead grass on top.
I always love the layout and routing of the course but nine holes should not take this long ever. No starter on the first tee and no ranger to hurry things up.
Over 80 degrees today and no water or beverage cart anywhere.
When paying $50 for two people to play nine hole you would thing they could afford to take care of these things

Prior Rain Leads To “Shaggy” Conditions
Course was made especially hard as rough and fairways could not be groomed to normal levels. Very tough conditions that will be softened considerably once it stops raining around here! Looking forward to coming back after things dry out a bit. Greens were true but not fully recovered from top dressing this’past fall I would imagine.
Hello, cigarmanraf. Thank you for reviewing the course and providing us with your feedback. As you know, with the recent rain we are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens from the water on the course. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Roses Run. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
