Horrible pace of play
I have never reviewed a course before, but this was necessary. (5 hours and 20 minutes, and this is a short course) On the front side we played behind a 6-some! Pace of play was so slow on the back nine, I called the club house from number 12. They never sent out a ranger to help. I will say that I played this course many times and never had this problem. Also, this was the worst condition that I have seen Fox Den in all the years I've played it.
Greens Looked Fast
.....but we're really kind of slow. Took a while to get used to. Course was pretty rough.
Challenging Golf Course
Excellent golf course that requires all elements of scoring. You have to think about lie, placement and strategy of iron and wood play.
Fox den
Pace was average, players didn't seem to be in a hurry. Coarse was good except 5 and 6 under construction. 6 is ridiculous in length. Staff was slow in the clubhouse with service and food.
Slow and in bad shape
Played here earlier in the year and they were changing some holes, they did a terrible job of that. The new tee is laid out sod and it is horrible. Lots of bare spots on the fairways. No rangers so it was extremely slow, about 5+ hours, Won't go back for quite a while no matter how cheap it was.
Good course busy for Wednesday

"What is this....free golf day?" Said an older golfer as we walked off the course.

Pace of play was slow but course conditions and staff were great!
Great time had by 4some for a good value!
My friends and I really enjoyed our round of 18 at Fox Den. The holes were challenging, bunkers clear of weeds, and greens were quick. The only average ratings were due to the number of bees noticed in the majority of bunkers (which is not too bad of an only issue to have) and some greens had a noticeable amount of fixed divot hole patches (again not a bad issue to have & they were all flattened as best as possible).
Great Public Course
With the redo of #5 and #6, this is a hidden gem in Stow. Greens always great, challenging, great staff and the best Bacon Cheeseburger in town! Play it every Saturday morning and it's a treat. Highly recommend!
Great Course, Friendly Staff
Played on Wednesday evening here for the first time and I really enjoyed the course. The greens rolled great and the course has really taken all the rain well. Food was great and I look forward to seeing it when the renovations are complete.
Another Great Round
Joe, the general manager did a fine job accommodating myself and 4 other golfers. Helped split tee times to avoid a group of 5 to keep a great pace. Course is great, greens are quick and can't wait to see how #5 and 6 will turn out.
Had a slow foursome in front but we took care of it.
A+ 5 star day!

Fox Den continues to be one of the best maintained courses in NE Ohio! The greens are in good shape for this time of year and the fairways as well.

Nice People- Nice course and Great Greens
We alternate 3 courses thru the spring thru Fall and this course we always enjoy playing. We play about 12 times a season and have always enjoyed the people who run it to the ladies in the snack shop ! Play it and enjoy !
Feel good GOLF !
This course cam play difficult if you dont keep your ball in play. Tree lined and most holes you can see the trouble ahead of you. Always a nice staff and pro-shop and GREAT food at the turn !
One of the Best Courses in General Area
Fox Den's fairways are in better shape than most competitive area courses. Also the general layout is inviting. We play at a number of courses and always include Fox Den. The staff is very good and the food and lunch area appealing.
