About
Donald Ross designed Miami Shores Golf Club in 1949. Since then, the course has had the front greens renovated in the 70s and the back nine's were updated in the 90s, but the best features of the original design have been carefully preserved. The municipal golf course covers 130 acres but it is seemingly short at just over 6,200 yards, a characteristic of older courses. The classic layout has fairways that are straight and offer some room for error, but there are stands of mature trees situated throughout the course that golfers will have to contend with. If you are used to playing longer, more modern layouts, Miami Shores provides an interesting contrast that is also a challenging but fair test. The course's affordability is also an appealing factor.

Very nice course.
First time playing here but won’t be the last. Extremely good condition especially for early November.. Greens are receptive to approach shot and roll true putting. . Very pleasant experience. One small complaint, and very minor, no phone chargers in the carts where most courses offer them now .
Fun, great condition short course
Grew up on this course but haven't played since the renovations. Pleasure to play and was in great condition even though the greens had been airified just a few weeks ago. Will play there again. Great facilities!
Great course to hit the driver
The fairways are wide enough to hit the driver on every par 4 and par 5.

I like the fact that they are always making improvements. Staff was friendly. The course is in good condition.

Course is great, only slight concern with cart brakes on cart 10. Thank goodness course is flat.
Good golf course
Good golf course. Pretty short and easy but not a bad hole on the course. Super cheap at $20 to walk. Greens were punched when I played but I bet they are usually good. Only complaint was the fairways were shaggy but oh well. They take pride in their course and it show. Fun course!
Great local course.
Troy is very fortunate to have this course (as well as an arena) as part of our community.
