Gleneagles Golf Club
About
Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

Great Layout. Wide Fairways. Short but not too short
Played here 5 times in the last two months. Love the layout
good first experience
The course is doing some major remodeling on a couple holes. However, that didnt really detract from my experience. Great deal using golf now. I would happily go back. The guy in the pro shop was great#
Great course with one very rude staff member
Great course, beautiful layout and nice ranger. Just finished 18 hole outing and it's unlikely I will be back due to a single staff member. The older lady running the snack bar is beyond rude. Wouldn't make anything but hot dogs for lunch even though their menu shows much more. She ran 3 groups out of the clubhouse on the turn to "keep up play" that is the Rangers job and not the woman who cooks food. She single handedly angered every golfer in the outing and cost this beautiful course our business next year. She made us so uncomfortable. It's a shame for all the good people who do work there and unfortunate that one person who hates her job so much can do this without reprimand.
Under construction
Played this course in August after a heavy rain. Due to the flatness of Ohio I expected this course to be designed with better irrigation drainage :(. There is no driving range or putting green because of ongoing construction so don't plan on a warm up. Overall it would have been a good course if it weren't for those few things.
Great course. Golf now price made it GREAT
Course was great. Tee-Boxes were a little uneven. Other than that it was great. Greens are challenging with slope and speed. My 3 putts ruined my round.
a decent course for the money
a little pricey on the weekend, but a very nice well maintained course with a challenging but fun layout
Nice place
Course was in great condition. Each hole is unique will definitely play here again. Always played before 8 am and had 3 hour rounds
Course has great features
Play was good pace. Course in excellent conditions.
GlenEagles - great course
Course was in good shape - the starter was overly aggressive in trying to get us to start the round 20 mins early while we were warming up on the range. Otherwise it was a good time and a well maintained course.
Slowest course in NE Ohio
Course was in nice shape but the pace of play is unbelievably slow. I've tried playing here on a weekday morning, weekday afternoon, and a weekend and it doesn't make a difference... You are looking at a 5 1/2 hour round no matter what. A shame since I live 5 minutes away but I won't be back again.
Gleneagles is always good
Front nine is more challenging than the back, but all 4 of us had a great time. Although this course generally plays a little slow, we did not see alot of play throughout the course, which seemed a little odd for the Sunday of a holiday weekend.
Slow play and just mudpits
Terrible slow play, had to wait every tee box & no one pushing for faster play. Also might as well call sandtraps as mud pits instead of sand...poor shape
This course has a great layout
If this course is played at its full 6500 yds, you must be able to hit shots to a specific spot due to doglegs or you will be playing out of the rough to fairly quick sloping greens, This course is not fun for a beginner.
Well maintained
The coursse was in good condition and it's fairly open with most holes. Nice course to play for most golfers.
Great!
This course was great! High value for money and practice, but not easy at all.
paired with a great group
course was in nice shape with all the rain in the last 3 days
Good time...
I was paired up with a great group of guys. The course was in good shape and the starter was a very pleasant guy. The only complaint is that a league was sent off the back that we met at the turn while there was no one behind us going off the front. This made the back nine take a very long time and the entire round came close to taking 5 hours!
Consistently good conditions
I have played this course a number if times and it is consistently in good condition. In fact, they have made some improvements to the layout on the back nine by changing cart paths etc. and it is even better now. Two things to keep in mind:there is no ranger keeping pace of play and they book rounds every 8 minutes so the course is packed on the weekend and very slow. My round was 5 hours and started a half hour late. Second, the course does not drain well so if it has rained it will be muddy on the course.
Excellent changes made
Many trees have been cut down on holes one and two. This really helps high handicap golfers. The changes made such as new cart paths was very pleasing to the eye as well as new layouts. Looking forward to playing it again.
Very nice public course
Had a great time playing the course for the first time. Staff was friendly and the course was in very good condition for the amount of play it seemed to get.
We play on Sunday morning, and it never takes us more than 4 hours 20 minutes to play 18 holes, sometimess less.
