Gleneagles Golf Club
About
Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

Gleneagles is always good
Front nine is more challenging than the back, but all 4 of us had a great time. Although this course generally plays a little slow, we did not see alot of play throughout the course, which seemed a little odd for the Sunday of a holiday weekend.
Slow play and just mudpits
Terrible slow play, had to wait every tee box & no one pushing for faster play. Also might as well call sandtraps as mud pits instead of sand...poor shape
This course has a great layout
If this course is played at its full 6500 yds, you must be able to hit shots to a specific spot due to doglegs or you will be playing out of the rough to fairly quick sloping greens, This course is not fun for a beginner.
Well maintained
The coursse was in good condition and it's fairly open with most holes. Nice course to play for most golfers.
Great!
This course was great! High value for money and practice, but not easy at all.
paired with a great group
course was in nice shape with all the rain in the last 3 days
Good time...
I was paired up with a great group of guys. The course was in good shape and the starter was a very pleasant guy. The only complaint is that a league was sent off the back that we met at the turn while there was no one behind us going off the front. This made the back nine take a very long time and the entire round came close to taking 5 hours!
Consistently good conditions
I have played this course a number if times and it is consistently in good condition. In fact, they have made some improvements to the layout on the back nine by changing cart paths etc. and it is even better now. Two things to keep in mind:there is no ranger keeping pace of play and they book rounds every 8 minutes so the course is packed on the weekend and very slow. My round was 5 hours and started a half hour late. Second, the course does not drain well so if it has rained it will be muddy on the course.
Excellent changes made
Many trees have been cut down on holes one and two. This really helps high handicap golfers. The changes made such as new cart paths was very pleasing to the eye as well as new layouts. Looking forward to playing it again.
Very nice public course
Had a great time playing the course for the first time. Staff was friendly and the course was in very good condition for the amount of play it seemed to get.
Greens fast with unpredictable slope
First time playing GlenEagles, was not sure of the conditons. The course layout was very challenging, bunkered, and presented a lot of uneven lies. The course was wet (November) and played long from the tips. Shots to the green have to be played below the hole or face incredibly fast putt. Will play this again, and would recommend it as well. Tough Greens, and Plays Longer Than Scorecard
This was a fun, well maintained course. The greens were lightning fast, especially considering the time of the year and the fact that the greens looked like they were punched recently.
nice layout
great shape for the time of the year, some leave issues, but greens are fast
A nice stress free experience
A very low key and most pleasant walk in a pretty park
Nice course. Variety of challenges. Enjoyable afternoon.
If you are bothered by course construction, wait until next year. The course is replacing it's cart paths, so some areas are a little messy.
Despite rain and cart path construction, course played great
The wet weather from the morning limited us to driving on the paths, and with the construction on the path on the back 9, we were forced to stick to the rough. This was our only issue though; otherwise, the course played great. Difficult enough to be challenging, not too difficult to enjoy.
Good service and the course is in great shape!
Staff is friendly and the pace of play, at least during the week, is brisk. The course is in good shape and they are continuing to improve it with cartr path repairs etc. I would recommend playing this course.
Nice course
Course was well maintained, but you will have to put up with construction issues - especially on the back 9. Workers doing a good job while upgrading the cart paths.
3.5 Stars - Nice
Very nice course. Played the whites which meant no driver needed, and high demand on hitting the fairway. A lot of trouble to get into if you aren't striking. Greens were in great shape. Hard to read, rolled true, as the day progressed they got FAST. I dropped a nice 4 putt (GREAT), as some of the come-backers were even harder than the 1st putt. Score-able, fun course in good shape, I would surely play again, especially if i score a hotdeal.
Teej
Love the course.
It seemed to be excruciatingly slow play on a Friday.
