Gleneagles Golf Club
About
Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

Nice course, nice people...
Course was in reasonably good shape with the biggest issue being the lack of attention to fixing ball marks and replacing divots (which is not the course's fault). Perhaps the morning outing was a group of non-golfers. The one issue that is on the course is the "crowning" of numerous tee boxes, making it often difficult to find a flat spot. Greens not exceptionally fast but definitely some tricky ones and tough pins. Got around in 4 hours on Sunday which is great.
Very attractive golf course
This course has dog legs on almost every hole. There is room to play safe but to score well requires some local knowledge and risks. The greens are very fast and demand good reading skills. The hazards are fair but can be significant if challenged. Conditions were very good considering all the heavy rain before we played. The range and practice greens are also very good. Food service is minimal and the clubhouse and pro-shop are small. Definitely a course for play rather than socializing, but with a pavilion for outings. It is a pleasure to play .
This is a nice course.
This is a nice course and I only play via Golf Now. The regular fees are more than the fees for similar courses in the area.
Fantastic Value
Course is in excellent condition, pace of play was reasonable, and was a good test. Will play again very soon.
Great for price I paid
I paid 13 dollars for 18 holes.. It is a nice course however the time I went they let a group of 5 out and it clogged up the front 9. They did not play the back and the pace returned to normal
One of the better muni courses in the area.
This course is in great shape even with all the recent rain. The course maybe a little on the shorter side for long hitters, but makes up for it with the tightness and shape of the holes.
Nice golf course
The golf course was interesting. There were not many people. It contained a variety of holes.
This course is great
I've played this course before and it has always been in the best condition.
Shot makers course
Great layout.Have played here often, but today found greens inconsistent and sluggish. Ramps to greens far to narrow, some only 10 paces across. Roughs very thick and deep . Pace of play could be improved by cutting roughs shorter, eliminating faces on fairway bunkers and placing yardage markers in middle of fairway, not on sides. I shall continue to play here, as it challenging experience.
Tough course for a guy w/o a lesson
The course plays well and is challenging. Its more important to get the right shot than to try and bomb the ball. If you have a bad first shot you will regret it by playing from out of trees or a ditch. Its not to say the course is bad its just not wide open like a beginner needs. I have played there 2 times this year and b/c of trying to kill the ball off the tee I have found trouble nearly every time. Not real hilly but lots of dog legs both slight and 80 degr.
The course plays very well. Greens are terrific however, some Tee Boxes need leveling.
As mentioned before the greens are in great shape. Just need to rebuild some Tee Boxes.
Solid Course
Gleneagles is a pretty easy, well maintained golf course. For relatively new golfers like myself (I only started playing the past couple of years, I shoot in the mid-low 90s) it's a good choice. It's pretty wide open, but has it's fair share of holes that force you to make shots (#9, #3 and #7 come to mind). There's a few risk-reward holes where you can decide whether you want to take driver off the tee or play it safe with a low iron, wood or hybrid. One downside is the houses surrounding the course tend to be a little bit boisterous. On more than one occasion playing there, I've encountered houses on multiple holes blasting music and having loud parties. While this is out of the course's control, it can be distracting. Either way, I'd recommend this course for beginners and intermediate players. Experts might find this course to be a little easy, it's not very long. I had the opportunity to birdie pretty much every par 5, and I'm not that long off the tee.
Greens were super fast. Even as wet as it was around the course from all the recent rain.

Played for 1st time. Loved it! Will be back.
I played Glen Eagles for the first time on 04/21. I am sorry that I havent played here sooner. I loved the course. Not the longest course you'll play and it was in great shape. (especially considering the weather hasnt been all that great.) Expected cart path only and was surprised that they said 90 degrees was the rule for the day. Pace of play was great (I'll admit it wasnt packed...wasnt "dead" either. You'll use every club in your bag. Very cool layout. The fairways and greens were in awesome shape. Staff was very friendly. Clubhouse was small but very clean. If you havent played here yet, dont be like me and wait. You are missing out on a very cool course. I cant wait to get back!
Challenging but not difficult
If playing from the regular tees, it is the type of course you can shoot in the upper 70s or 80s. There is always a hole or two that makes a great round an okay round.
Long time since I last played
It's been a couple years since I last played this course. And I first played it when it first opened. Lot different now. With the homes added in and the course maturing, it is a fine golf experience now. Some really great holes! No real klinkers (poorly designed holes). Conditions were good, although the weather was tough on a number of areas. Fairly well groomed. Greens were good to excellent. Stimped about 8-9.
