Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

Tough course for a guy w/o a lesson

The course plays well and is challenging. Its more important to get the right shot than to try and bomb the ball. If you have a bad first shot you will regret it by playing from out of trees or a ditch. Its not to say the course is bad its just not wide open like a beginner needs. I have played there 2 times this year and b/c of trying to kill the ball off the tee I have found trouble nearly every time. Not real hilly but lots of dog legs both slight and 80 degr.

The course plays very well. Greens are terrific however, some Tee Boxes need leveling.

As mentioned before the greens are in great shape. Just need to rebuild some Tee Boxes.

Solid Course

Gleneagles is a pretty easy, well maintained golf course. For relatively new golfers like myself (I only started playing the past couple of years, I shoot in the mid-low 90s) it's a good choice. It's pretty wide open, but has it's fair share of holes that force you to make shots (#9, #3 and #7 come to mind). There's a few risk-reward holes where you can decide whether you want to take driver off the tee or play it safe with a low iron, wood or hybrid. One downside is the houses surrounding the course tend to be a little bit boisterous. On more than one occasion playing there, I've encountered houses on multiple holes blasting music and having loud parties. While this is out of the course's control, it can be distracting. Either way, I'd recommend this course for beginners and intermediate players. Experts might find this course to be a little easy, it's not very long. I had the opportunity to birdie pretty much every par 5, and I'm not that long off the tee.

Greens were super fast. Even as wet as it was around the course from all the recent rain.

Played for 1st time. Loved it! Will be back.

I played Glen Eagles for the first time on 04/21. I am sorry that I havent played here sooner. I loved the course. Not the longest course you'll play and it was in great shape. (especially considering the weather hasnt been all that great.) Expected cart path only and was surprised that they said 90 degrees was the rule for the day. Pace of play was great (I'll admit it wasnt packed...wasnt "dead" either. You'll use every club in your bag. Very cool layout. The fairways and greens were in awesome shape. Staff was very friendly. Clubhouse was small but very clean. If you havent played here yet, dont be like me and wait. You are missing out on a very cool course. I cant wait to get back!

Challenging but not difficult

If playing from the regular tees, it is the type of course you can shoot in the upper 70s or 80s. There is always a hole or two that makes a great round an okay round.

Long time since I last played

It's been a couple years since I last played this course. And I first played it when it first opened. Lot different now. With the homes added in and the course maturing, it is a fine golf experience now. Some really great holes! No real klinkers (poorly designed holes). Conditions were good, although the weather was tough on a number of areas. Fairly well groomed. Greens were good to excellent. Stimped about 8-9.
