A perfectly serviceable, albeit mediocre public course
The course layout on some holes is weird. The hole where you hit over a weird ravine and aim at a tree comes to mind. There’s some good holes and some lousy holes. It’s not bad. It’s really dry and really hard.
Dried out Fairways
I've played this course twice before and was surprised by the dirt spots on nearly every fairway. I understand it's been hot but for $37 for 18 w/cart, use sprinklers, water the greens or lower the price. I will only play this course for $10 to walk 9 holes for the rest of the season
Not friendly staff
They had a golf outing and never told anyone. They started the outting at hole 13-1. Very slow to play. Note a very friendly staff at all. Course was in good shape with all the hot weather we been having
Best value golf course around
I play this course often. While it is not the most elite course around, it is also not the worst. I would rate is as above average for condition and layout. This course has challenging greens, mature trees, and several holes that make you think about where you need to place your shot to set up your next shot.
My favorite holes are #3 (par 3 over water), #5 (be sure to get to the top of the hill1), #8 (be sure to drop your tee shot on the left side of the fairway for the shortest shot to the small green!), #15 (might be the toughest hold on the course) and #18 (after dealing with all the small greens, this huge green looks inviting, but be sure to leave your shot below the cup for an uphill putt, other wise, your putt will end up at the bottom of the green).
While not the most elite course, it is far above average for the area, and when you factor in playing 18 with a cart for around $20, the value cannot be beat!
Golfers suck
It would be nice if golfers could replace their divots and more importantly, repair ball marks on the greens. Stop being lazy and entitled.
Great course
My first time there and I actually love the layout of the course. It is in pretty good condition I would definitely recommend playing there again and again A did a little more walking than my body prefers having to walk up hills to get to the greens. But far than average person it should not be any problem. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Will go back again someday
Stood up to the rains very well!
Quick and tough greens. Course was in great shape. A bit annoying to be told cart path only but see many other groups all over the place.
Great course
first time playing this course and it was gorgeous. The staff was super friendly got great deal through Golfnow. The course is in beautiful shape. The greens are fast and have a lot of undulations, which made putting very difficult. I would definitely recommend this course to friends. In fact have already talked to a few friends about coming out again real soon.
Making turn
Had issues on #1 #10 tee. Both had 4-8 carts zoom ahead of us!!!!! Fortunately both groups saw we were only a 2 some and let us go in front
Good condition
This course was in good condition, the fairways and rough were cut nice and the greens were fast with great rolls. I have golfed here several times over the years and one thing is always consistent, the pace of play is horrible! We had a tee time for 10:50 and ended up teeing off about 15 minutes late because they were backed up, we didn't get done with our round until 4:30. Don't ever golf here if you're looking to get a quick round in.
Good course, slow play
I frequent this course a lot and never feel the need to add a review. Typically play this course in the morning so there’s always a starter making sure groups are getting off. We played this round in the late afternoon on a Saturday, so your gonna get the golfers who may not have much experience. That’s understandable, but there was no starter checking in on the groups teeing off. There were multiple 2 somes scattered before my group and after my group. This killed the pace; the course needed to group these people up. Also the greens definitely needed to be rolled, there’s no way it’s been done for several weeks. And if you play here FIX YOUR BALL MARKS ON THE GREEN! These greens are pretty soft and have a lot of slope to them, it’s a shame how many ball marks I fixed in the green...
Quirky
Coopertop has a lot of quirky holes that make it very enjoyable.
