Great Course, Good Price
Woodbine, the longer of the 2 Mohawk courses is an excellent course to have a fun, enjoyable round on. The facilities are laid back, carts are in good condition, and the course is always well maintained. For the price you won't find anything that beats it. The only recommendation I would have is that pace of play is always on the slow side here.
The course has always been a good value for the price.
Knowing the city of Tulsa does not put money into the course , Billy Casper Golf does an excellent job keeping the course playable and in good shape. There are 1 or 2 greens that have damage caused by a mole , but they have the greens in playable condition. The staff always speak to you and answers your questions to the best of their knowledge. I would recommend playing this course to anybody.
Good Greens, but the fairways...
The greens were in great shape which is why this review is bumped up to 3 stars, but every other aspect of the course is in pretty poor condition. The bunkers are mud holes, the fairways are a 60/40 split of grass/weeds. The rough is mowed down to fairway, or up depending on your perspective. The course is poorly designed for drainage (ton of standing water and not marked as a hazard). And the course is extremely short. Many of the par 4's are drivable (only 2 over 400 yrds from the men's tee. I am not sure what the men's tee is rated, but I would guess it is in the 110/63 range. This is the quintessential muni. They are extremely proud of their beverage service $3.50 for a small Gatorade, and $$$ for domestic brews.
The course lay out is very confusing.
The course lay out is very confusing and signs are not easy to follow. It seems it needs a little bit updating on the fairway and upkeeping on the green. No drinking fountains on the course but the staff are very friendly. Overall, it's a playable course.
course was in good shape for January
Haven't played this course in several years. Really enjoyed the round. Can't wait until spring to come and play another round.
Greens were outstanding
Stay on the fairway and you'look be okay. Played on Sunday, hardly anyone there. Couse was in geat shape. Staff was extremely friendly.
Mohawk (Woodbine)
Mohawk Woodbine is a good course. A little over priced though in my opinion.
I like the location
The course was in very good condition and the staff was very friendly. It did not seem to be over played and our overall experience was great.
Good course. Has come along way
The last time I played this course the greens were slow and about dead most fairways were just dirt and this was early in the year around the middle of May about 5 years ago. This time the course was in the best shape I have ever seen. The greens were firm, fast, and in perfect condition. The fairways were in great shape with just a couple having a thin area where the sun is hard to get to and this was the begining of August. It was raining when I played and there was no flooding problems as in the past. This course has certainly become a well kept secret in the Tulsa area and I will be playing it again soon.
Great course
Fairways in great shape for July. Not too many people and pace was great. Great for beginners and experienced players.
Great layout
Course was in excellent shape for this time of the year.
course in good condition
had not played this course in quite a while and was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course. greens putted nicely and the fairways were in good condition. pace of play we normal finished 18 holes in 4 hrs
Greens in great condition
Greens are in great condition but there was a lot of debris on the course due to the heavy weekend rains.
