Grass needed
I hope that as spring moves on the conditions improve because there isn’t much grass to play off of. There’s not much sand in the bunkers if you can find any at all, but I will say that the greens are in decent shape and roll fairly smooth. It was windy and I’m sure that played a part in the slow play as we had to wait on every shot. Needless to say it will be awhile before I return again.
Good Public Course
It's a good course. Our last time playing was after serious rain abs they still had the course in good shape.
Need to open the restrooms
Please open restrooms on the courses. Women have to go back to club house and effect pace of play for lots of people. The course is getting in a lot better shape
Fun course with lots of potential
Played from the green tees on Woodbine on 3/4/23. It rained the two days before so there was a bit of water and mud around but nothing unexpected.
This is definitely not the best muni course in town, but they are actively working on improvements. The fairways were okay with dormant grass and some thin spots. Fairways are wide and had lots of roll - looked like they had been aerated recently so there was lots of little dirt clods around.
The greens were in good condition and played consistently the whole round.
If you play in Tulsa a lot definitely try out Mohawk if you haven't been in a while. The city is working on improvements here and at Page Belcher.
The course is in poor condition
There is bare ground everywhere. Some of the holes have standing water in the middle of the fairway and the sand traps are all dirt no sand with grass growing in a few. The City of Tulsa should spend some money on maintenance if they are going to have the audacity to raise the rates higher than Lafortune Golf Course
Poor value
Due to some reason I can’t figure out, I couldn’t use my $10 monthly GolfPass+ to make the already discounted value remotely worth it. Granted the Bermuda is brown and therefore dormant, but there wasn’t enough of it in the fairways to make the hard pan Bermuda tolerable. If I paid the normal fee of $45, I’d be livid. Without a Marshall, people were jumping onto the #1 tee box and #10 with no accountability. Several groups of 5 slowed play down drastically. We were told there would be no carts available until our tee time. So, we carried our clubs to incredibly poor groomed practice range that was a quarter of a mile away from clubhouse. When we reported at 1:40 for our tee time, we didn’t get one until 2:15.
Great conditions
The course was in great shape, there was a frost delay so I worried about the receptive of the greens but they were rolling perfectly that day!
Great course conditions for February golf. All summer grass is dormant
Overall conditions are great considering its still winter in the Tulsa area.
It's a good course but..
It was wet which made course conditions poor.
And it's winter, so fairways are dormant. Pin positions were ridiculously placed.
Troon Golf has taken over this course last year. Raised the prices and have done nothing to improve the course.
TeeOff golf got us a good price though.
Not great, but not horrible
If you are a hacker, this course has mile wide fairways for you. After getting tired of playing behind two slow groups on the front nine at Woodbine, we decided to play Pecan Valley for the back nine; it was a ghost town. Not sure why either because conditions were no worse than Woodbine.
I’m not saying I’ll never go back, but I’ll put others ahead of these two.
It’s okay
Not in great shape. Greens were salted. The trees need to be cut in spots. Basically the course needs an injection of cash to fix some things.
Great course
It would be hard to find a better course for the money
The staff is always friendly
Poorly Managed!
First off, there was not a score card on the cart we were given. No problem, there's a box with score cards and pencils at the second tee box. Unfortunately, the only thing in it was someone's trash!
No Marshall so the pace of play was horrible. They do not enforce tee off times. Our tee time was 11:40, when we signed in for our cart at 11:10, the person that signed in before us had a tee time of 1:50pm and was already on the course.
This could be a fun and nice course if it was managed better!
Needs a lot of work
Needs a lot of work most holes don't have hole signs. Green could be better
