About
Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie is situated in the heart of the Hudson River Highlands, surrounded by acres of lush, rolling countryside. The course wanders through stands of towering oak trees and circles a few tranquil ponds before moving along the banks of its namesake creek. The gently rolling hills provide the course with elevated tees and terraced greens. Robert Trent Jones designed the golf course in 1944. He created a traditional layout that fully utilizes all of the features of the scenic terrain. The course finishes with a player-friendly hole that offers a great opportunity for a birdie. There is a bunker in front of the green but if played smartly as a three-shot hole, golfers will be generously rewarded. In addition to the golf course, Casperkill also offers a driving range with multiple target greens and a large practice putting green with a chipping and bunker area.

Course is great condition. Even with all the recent high temp’s and humidity the greens are rolling good and true.
Good time decent pace
Cool playing ibm course. Greens were in good shape, but inconsistent. Could have been morning dew drying out though.

front 9 seemed to move quickly but we caught 2 slow groups on back 9 which ruined our pace. Typical Sunday Traffic. Course is very nice, greens were slow.
Great course
Course was in great shape. The pace was slow but with the great weather it was expected.
Solid course! I’d recommend playing if in the area.
Second time playing this course, overall a good value for the money and an interesting course layout. The greens roll pure but they’re a little soft IMO. Also odd that most of the greens are noticeably uphill shots.
Staff is pretty rude and impatient. Carts are OK and have a nice GPS with putting heat maps.
I like playing this course when it’s not easy for me to get a reservation in lower Westchester on the weekends.
An amazing course!
With a friend staff well manicured greens and fairways what more could you ask for. The carts are new and have the built in “rangefinder” so even if you forget your own the carts are there to help. Lots of interesting holes and overall this was such a blast
Brutal Pace Lately
Time to get a ranger out there. I play here pretty regularly and enjoy the course. It's one of my favorites in the area. I probably played here between 20 to 30 times last year and never once had a problem with the pace. I've probably played here around 10x this year as well. But the past few times, the pace of play has been brutal. Going to be taking a break from playing here for a while.until they can get the 5 hour rounds under control. Nothing worse than waiting 10 minutes on every tee box. Impossible to get a rhythm going.

Great Course
A classic course layout. I love playing Casperkill!
Worth the drive - will be back for sure!!
Absolutely worth the 1 Hour drive from Central Westchester. The course is challenging and each hole is different, as you may have heard. No issues with pace of play. Conditions were prime. Beautiful layout.
Course was a little wet in a few parts due to rain 4 days ago so fairways didn’t have as much roll as they would in prime time. Greens could use a roll out but I probably played during the off-cycle. Golfers need to fix their divot marks!!
Pace wasn’t an issue for Sunday at 10 AM.
Good size range, putting green, even a nice chipping area with range balls!

Casperkill golf course
For my birthday I made a reservation for this golf course. It was a nice day on a friendly golf course.
Carts are equipped with gps which is very convenient.
The golf course, driving range and chip&putt areas are well maintained. Will definitely go back.
The only thing was the location in the conformation did not match and entering the drive way we missed the small sign to take a right turn and ended up at the church.
Course in great shape, challenging but fair
Booked this course due to its proximity to the hotel we were staying at in Highland. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The fairways and green were in superb condition lThe course was pretty wide open, which was forgiving for mediocre golfers like us. Pace of play was also excellent as we were playing early afternoon on a Wednesday. Course was naturally beautiful as well. Overall a 5 out of five, and I'm sure that my playing partners would agree. Highly recommend!
