About
Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie is situated in the heart of the Hudson River Highlands, surrounded by acres of lush, rolling countryside. The course wanders through stands of towering oak trees and circles a few tranquil ponds before moving along the banks of its namesake creek. The gently rolling hills provide the course with elevated tees and terraced greens. Robert Trent Jones designed the golf course in 1944. He created a traditional layout that fully utilizes all of the features of the scenic terrain. The course finishes with a player-friendly hole that offers a great opportunity for a birdie. There is a bunker in front of the green but if played smartly as a three-shot hole, golfers will be generously rewarded. In addition to the golf course, Casperkill also offers a driving range with multiple target greens and a large practice putting green with a chipping and bunker area.

Won’t be going back
Had a 150 teatime once we hit the 10th hole we ran into the back of a golf outing on top of a Monday night league
There were 12 foursomes waiting at the 10th hole to tee off
So we decided to skip 10-11 and start on 12 to keep playing as soon as we finished with 12th whole we were approached by golf course workers and asked to leave for jumping a whole
RTJ Layout with 18 different and interesting holes
This course is an underrated gem in the Hudson Valley. Robert Trent Jones design produces 18 interesting holes that are both enjoyable and a challenge. Water hazards, elevation changes, tall trees, long and short holes allowing you to use all the clubs in your bag.
Outstanding layout
I have been a member for many years. I have always found the course challenging and love the layout. Staff is always friendly accommodating and helpful. Course conditions have improved this year.

It never disappoints...they keep a good pace of play and the greens, Tee boxes, etc are well maintained.
Great public course
Well maintained. Poor clubhouse. $20 per cart is too much.
Can’t beat course though for a public one
Cart path only was the reason for slower than usual pace of play. I was surprised that the carts were available due to all the rain.
One of the Best in the Hudson Valley
Excellent facility with interesting holes on a hilly terrain. Course in excellent condition and the staff is accommodating and friendly.

Course in great shape four hour round. Super hot day would be nice if there was water on course
Nice course but walkers slow pace of play
We were paired with two nice men who walked. We had a cart and waited a lot to hit and for the walkers to reach the green. We were two holes behind by the end of the round. The course should only pair walkers with other walkers.
