Spring Hill Golf Club at Albany Golf & Event Center
About
Formerly known as Spring Hill Country Club, Albany Golf & Event Center dates back to 1959. Though the name may have changed, the classic design of the course hasn't. The golf course measures to just over 6,500 yards from the back tees. It may not be a lengthy layout but it's a fun round for beginners and advanced golfers alike, which is why it was chosen as the two-time host to the Oregon Open. The golf course was built on some of the country's most fertile land in a temperate location that allows year-round play. Strategically placed bunkers frame the greens and there are water hazards that come into play on a few holes. One of the most difficult holes, the par-3 17th, is a water hole. There is a lake that runs along the entire right side up to the green, which is also bordered by bunkers to the left.

Fast pace and well manicured, but...
...the course was abnormally wet (fairways, rough, and greens all soft). I am not sure why because it hasn't rained much at all in the last several months. I had several plugged balls throughout the round -- good thing for "winter" rules. Overall, Spring Hill Country Club is a fun course with a great layout and a must play if you're in/near Albany...especially if they are offering more HOT DEALS!
Nice round
The staff was friendly. The course was in good shape. The greens were well groomed. All in all a good experience.
No computer no fun!
Very disappointed in the staffs capability or lack of to take cash for food and beverages because their computers were down, Really? Take out a pen and paper mark it down and take the cash! What a let down!
Mature course
Nice, old established course kept in good condition. Reasonably long with sand and some water hazards. Walkable but more fun to take cart and carry craft beer available in beautiful clubhouse.
Very nice course to play
My wife and I played what is known as "Spring Hill" to us. The course was in very good condition, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (except for the ever-present mis-hits, but that's not the course's fault!)
Tight fairways
Course was in great shape. First time players will have a little trouble on where to hit it, but will still like course.
Awesome Track
This was a great place to play!! Course in great shape but need some ball washers.
beautifull day
We had a 2:58 tee time. when we arrived a member was hammering the help at the desk, she wanted to be let out or placed some where on the course. The gentleman kept explaining it was full. He handles himself very professional and we started on time.
Ok course
My friend and I got paired with a couple of jerks and no way to separate from them. Don't go to this course unless you like to play with snobby people and you like to play a relaxed pace of play.
Great time! Great course!
This was the first time playing this course. Had a wonderful time!
Good course - snippy staff member
Nice course but somewhat snippy staff member. Paid for 18 w/cart but was teamed with another person who already had a cart. When I stated I had paid for 18 w/cart staff said in a pretty surly tone "That's what you're getting". That should be stated in their disclaimer. Fortunately, turned out to be a good day but, since the other person had paid for 18 w/cart he didn't get what he paid for either. Not enough to keep me from going back but, will consider other courses first. I will say, the last time I played there, the staff person (different one) was spectacular and went above and beyond.
Usually well kept
This time around they had just sanded the greens, the rough was long and had clumps of grass from mowing. It is the beginning of the season.
This course is usually very well kept and the staff and members are very friendly and helpful.
Great course.
there very slow
It's okay to play this area.but I won't not recommended to someone
Awesome Day
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape! Thank you
Great condition, just soggy
The course was not an issue, the oregon rain was. It didn't rain that day but the two weeks or awful downpour made the course a bit soft. Lost a few balls that were just off the fairway from plugging on the ground. Overall, greens were in good shape, everything was well taken care of and I had a great time. Would highly recommend this course!
golf day
good layout with plenty of challenges
greens in great shape and pins fair
Very pleasant course
Highly recommend this course. I have played it in the fall and summer and it is very fair though challenging.
this is a great track
The course was in great shape. The greens were pure and the fairways were very good. It was cart path only because of heavy rains but the course drained very well.
Course pretty wet
Course was pretty wet due recent rain, you needed to stay in the fairway due to grass being long in the ruff. Food was ok . The staff was outstanding
overall for the price I paid have no complaints
nice sceanery
I enjoyed the course but felt that I was pressed to purchase a shirt with a collar. There was nothing prior to me arriving saying I had to have a collared shirt. I understand the rule just wanted a heads up I have plenty of golf shirts. I made a tee time with no time to go buy a shirt, one that I would wear. I paid more for the shirt then the round of golf. I now have a shirt that I will never wear again. the person that was working the counter was short and rude with me. The last time I was at spring hill the person working the counter was very nice and I very much enjoyed the interactions. Its the all the little things that count with me!
