The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club - South: #18
Fantastic finishing hole! One of the most picturesque holes on the course. Keeping your shots out of the sand and in the fairway is the test on this hole. The green is slightly elevated.

not in the winter time course

I played here in summer time and it is super great course. But in the winter time, I wouldn't recommend. It is way too wet. Not a single dry spot. Compared to other courses, it is way too wet.... This is good course for summer only...

Great course for wet weather play

What a great course, but what should you expect for a championship level course. From tee to green it was like walking on carpeting.. Even if it's only once in a great while, it sure is a treat to play here.

Beautiful scenic views all around.

The course was in great shape, despite the amount of rain the week produced, The trees, which are every where were in full fall color, very breath-taking. The course played tough but fair and I was surprised how fast the greens were with all the water. I have to say as far as amenities, there is nothing spectacular to say, no towels offered, no tees or divot tools, unless of course you are a member

One of the best tracks in Oregon

I'm an avid golfer and I have the Reserve South course ranked in my top three in Oregon (even above pumpkin ghost). The course is extremely challenging, scenic, and the finishing holes 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 will put your handicap to the test. I've played there 20+ times and can't wait to go back!!

Both courses are great.

The Reserve is my favorite place to play here in the Portland area. I make a day of it...arrive early for a well priced breakfast, hit a few range balls, then hit the course. Pace of play is nearly just right, cost is reasonable, both courses offer variety, maintenance is very well done. And, they have the best looking clubhouse I've ever seen.

North course is fun to play. What you see is what you get.

North course is fun to play. What you see is what you get with the exception of hole 13 a 90 degree dog leg left (not my favorite hole) and 17 a challenging par 4 its hard from the tee to pick out a target fro your drive . In my opinion the North course is easier than the South course due to the number sand traps on the South course. The day I play the course the condition was in good shape. The greens were firm and fast and looked patchy, but rolled nice and true.

South course. Bunkers, bunkers, bunkers, but good sand.

Very nice facility, good greens, Played at a leisurly pace, No one pushing us, we weren't pushing those in front of us. Enjoyed a good cigar but left somewhere out there before I finished it. Asked lost and found but they just laughed. It was an expensive cigar.

Spendy course, good time for a bargain hunt.

The Reserve, I've played both courses and of them both, I prefer and like the North Course. The South Course is the tougher of the two, longer as well with a ton of bunkers on it. That's not why I prefer to play the North Course though, I've just had more fun on it is all.

There are a few risk reward holes to play to, some tough par 3's with upraised greens where you really have to hit and hold the green. A couple of narrow par 5's where water comes into play on the 2nd shot and a few where you need to place the ball before a hazard.

It's not a cheap course though and at times I wonder why the expense, it seems to be where people with money come to have a giggle. At times this leads to distractions you can do without and I admit I'm not very good at coping with this.

If you can find a bargain time, come and play this course, if you can spare the money go play and please use your inner voice on the course.

Course for all handicaps to play.

Always in good Condition. Love the way they rotate south & north course, so you get to play both sides.

Very nice course.

Booked tee time on golfnow.com. I played with my friends and one other player. Lots of sand. It was the hottest day of the year. We enjoyed very much.
