Lost Tracks Golf Club
About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

Hole 11 @ Lost Tracks Photo submitted by odysseycustom on 05/27/2014
this course is very challenging.
I have played this course many times and like the fact that it is well maintained.
Lost Tracks has a history
The signature hole is the 16th where you play to the green on an island. Access to the green is throug a train carriage sitting on railway tracks. A nice touch. The staff were friendly and we got an earlier start than booked. We found we had to pay close attention to the picture of the hole at the tee because they didn't have a copy on the card. A pleasant day of golf on a course that we had not played before.
Early season round
Played this course many times. It is a little overpriced during high season compared to the other courses in the area. The golfnow discount was the reason we chose to play the course. The GPS in the cart is great when it works. The facilities are nice and walking the course is not difficult. The course is fairly open and I played the whole round with one ball.
No yardage markers
Do not walk this course unless you can guess yardages. The cart path had three stripes but most of the time you can't see them from the fairway or they were missing altogether.
NO fairway markers, NO tee box markers (just hoping I got the right yardage on the par 3's. ONLY 1 in twenty sprinkler heads had yardages on them and of those half were broken and unreadable. I'd play this course again but not until the management spends some money and puts some markers in. I complained to the pro shop and was told to rent a cart with GPS. I left my # for the PRO but he couldn't be bothered to call back and listen to my suggestion for improving the course.
great day
great weather - great course - good friends.
lovely day - thanks
nice course, yukky weather
played with friends from out-of-town.
cold and windy but a great time.
very nice course - can't wait to play on a nicer day.
Nice course.
The course was good except that it had been plugged & sanded recently. The greens were very bumpy. If I would have known about the greens condition, I would have looked elsewhere. The green fees were too much considering the condition of the greens.
Problems this time.
Have played this course multiple times the last few years and enjoyed our round, but there were problems this time. Course does not have a marshal, and the round took nearly 5 hours. We followed 2 fivesomes who were drinking the entire time. By the time we reached the Par 3 16th hole, there were 9 golfers on the green. They moved on as a group. When we reached 18, there were now 6 carts running around the fairway. Not a good experience, however, will go back again as we have always enjoyed the course.
Great Vibe!
Wonderful course, quite playable but the staff creates such a warm friendly vibe that I find myself wanting a membership here!.
Solid Course
Great value. Signature par three on the back is beautiful but it looks like someone vandalized the majority of the green, which is sad.
find Lost Tracks Golf course
You must play this course when in Bend. Great value considering the August condition of the course. Fair contoured and well maintained greens. Well defined grass cuts, I rode but the course is easily walk-able. Water and restroom facilities strategically located. No cart service on Monday. No. 17 island green a treat for late in the round.
5-some on back nine
We were having an efficient afternoon round when upon making the turn a fivesome, that did not play the front cut in front of us. Really took away from the experience and was disappointed that the golf course would allow it.
Pro shop nightmare
The lady in the Pro shop was bar none the nastiest person I have met in a very long time.
We arrived well in advance of our TTime and she tells me things are very busy today so your T time will be later than the time given to you .
We teed off 15 minutes late and played the front nine in 2.5 hours. Way too slow.
When we got to number 10 there were 4 groups waiting to T off. I went in to the shop and tried talking to the lady about the delay. She was very very nasty. I told her that I was not going to wait 35 minutes to play the back in another 2.5 hours and asked for. 9 hole refund. She said " sorry , we don't do that". I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager and the owner. Needless to say I will be pursuing that claim. Anyway, my point is if you don't mind dealing with a real Nasty person in the pro shop and slow play , the course looked like it would be fun to play.
You've got to like your doglegs!
I like this course. It's fair, greens are nice and there's plenty of doglegs for your trick shots! Ok, I don't have many of these so called "trick shots" but I enjoyed the course nonetheless. It's a fun course.
Lost Tracks on track
Lost tracks was a pleasant surprise. The course design and layout was very accommodating, and well thought out for access to amenities. The greens were contour enough to be very fun but fair. All grass conditions were about as good as you can get for this part of the world. The views were spectacular on several of the fairways, a nice function of course design this course was a great value and I will return.
1 OF MY FAVORITES
This is one of my favorite course in Central Oregon. The course is laid out very well between the houses and the terrain. Greens are always consistent and course is well maintained. I played 2 rounds that day and walked all 36 holes. Course was in good shape and I was not hampered by anyone else. 2 rounds took about 3 hours. If people were on the course it would have taken more like 6 hours, having played this course numerous times in the past when it would be busy. Get out and play this course you will not be unhappy and the views of the Cascades are fantastic!
