Lost Tracks Golf Club
About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

Good value
Enjoyed this course. Went out on a Saturday . I think there was sone graduation ceremonies the day we played since it was wide open and a good pace of play. Course was in good condition and had some great views of bachelor and the cascades. The cart girl was consistent with her rounds and staff was super friendly, even providing me with a free yardage book since it was my first time playing. Got a good deal on golfnow and jumped on it.
great value
4 hour pace walking. Started at 7:30. Fairways and greens were in great shape.
Fun course
Played here with my buddies for the 1st time after playing 18 at another course in town earlier so we decided to ride. We were greeted promptly. The starter told us to go out and follow a single and his kid playing which we decided to abandon and go start on the back 9 as the single and his young son were taking awhile to get started on the 1st hole. We immediately caught up to a five some (which i thought was odd) and we were stuck behind them for a few holes, but then they let us play around. After that, I noticed another five some so I wasn't to crazy about that, but they didn't bother us so all was good. The course has a nice layout and I thought was a rather easy course to play. There was no water in most of the ponds on the course. Not sure what was up with that but overall it was a fun course and I would gladly come back over and play again.
Lost Tracks worth it
The late fall round was very worth it. I would make it a point to play again net time near Bend
Happy Golfer
Excellent golfing experience--would definitely recommend this course
Ok Course.......... but
We played the course and felt it needed some improvements. First having a more pleasant staff member at the desk, could take her time away from eating to serve the customer , not professional eating at the desk.
Having markers on the fairway for walkers, fine if you are riding a cart, distance is on the cart path, have to guess yardage on fairways.
Holes could be marked more clearly, for direction to next hole. Example 10 &13, we had to head in to the club house and ask where 10 was no signage, Also # 13 came to cross roads no idea which way, right or left so we wandered around an found it finally, however the group ahead went to 15, never seen them after that.
If you are a tourist first time at the course these improvements would be helpful, we would not play this course again, there are better ones to play for the value in the area
Great place to play.
This is one of my favorite courses anywhere. It is not overly difficult, but has many "visual distractions". It always seems to be in great condition, and it has a laid back atmosphere that makes it an enjoyable experience (no matter how badly I'm putting!)
Love this course
Although it was a bit slow this day, we had a good deal on golfnow . Love this course no matter what !
Lost Tracks
I loved the course! Had a great time and the staff and facility was great!
What has happened to this once jewel?
My son and I played both Fri. and Sat. Our Friday time was 3;28, when I checked in I asked if times were on schedule, couldnt get a straight answer, we didnt tee off till 405 , It would have been worse if I hadnt run into the clubhouse asking about the 12 golfers in carts waiting on the 1st tee box, We couldnt use the range as the ball machine was empty, this wasnt mentioned when I paid 6 dollars for token. that was the better of the 2 days, Saturdays t time was 1015 am, but we were called to the 1st tee at 950 and hooked up with another pair, after getting a 2nd cart because the first one died in the 1st fairway, we finished hole 1 only to find 15 golfers on hole # 2 , a 6em a 4some and 5some in front of us,. I called the clubhouse for the 2nd time to ask what was going on, Was only told that there was a marshall out there somewhere.
6hr round
Lost Tracks is a very nice and fair test of golf. We decided to play on a Saturday morning at 9am. That was a big mistake. After spending 3hrs on the front nine waiting for every shot. We asked what the issue was. We were told a large wedding party was playing in front but would leave after nine holes. Maybe they did but it didn't help. We ended up canceling our afternoon round at another course and we finished just under 6 hrs. There were multiple fivesomes and a couple groups of six. No marshaling or on course play management. Plan on a painfully long round or play first thing in the morning.
Beautiful Course
This was our first time playing this course. We were suppose to ply 18 holes but right after we finished up the 9th hole, A lightning storm and heavy rains made it so we couldn't continue. We will go back again. Nice club house while we waited for the rain to stop.

Excellent round of golf at daybreak on a Friday
While on vacation in Sunriver, i got the opportunity to play Lost Tracks GC in Bend, OR. While Sunriver has four courses, all were $100+ and quite busy, so i decided to drive 20 minutes up the road and play Lost Tracks at the break of dawn on a friday. It was a pleasant surprise. Played the course in under 3 and a half hours, and was taking my time doing so. A 73-yr old golfer named Jim, who was enjoying his first day of retirement caught up with me on the turn, and we played the back nine together. The conditions were great, and the weather was ideal. The course is extremely walkable, yet designed in a way where you dont see other holes while playing for the most part. My only regret is getting a cart as it turned out to be completely unnecessary. The highlight of the course is the reclaimed railcar on #16 that acts as the bridge to the island green. Golfers from all over the country have left bagtags, business cards, and assorted memorabilia turning into a museum of sorts. Jim informed me that Lost Tracks is owned and designed by former PGA president, Brian Whitcomb, who clearly put his heart and soul into this course. I would recommend Lost Tracks to anyone who is in the area.

needs maintained
Course seems to be lacking in maintenance sand traps terrible rocks in them never racked greens are not being taken care ball marks not fixed gps only works off and on not accurate. In need of a good grounds crew and it has potential to be a great course with some love
Needs work
The course is in the worst condition of any Bend courses in the same price range. The pins were not in the proper area as stated on the score card. The greens looked like no one had fixed a ball mark for weeks. The fairway bunkers were washed out. Many green side bunkers had grass growing in them. No one is filling divots in the fairways. Not even close to being worth the money, even at the hot deal rate.
Great track in a strong golf area
Lost Tracks is very good course in a beatiful part of Central Oregon with mountain views and ponderosa pine groves. We started at 3:20pm on a perfect weather day and played in under 4 hours. L.T. is neither a hard or easy course and has some very interesting, memorable holes. The condition was excellent. The couse is walkable but with the elevation of 1200m and moderate hills it is some effort to walk.. All in all a great golf day.
Fun track
An all around great course, my favorite in Bend! Nice and fast greens w/ good course conditions. I always enjoy Lost Tracks, great variety of holes and well designed. Will definitely be back!
Love the layout
I play at Lost Tracks at least three times a year. Whenever I play in the Central Oregon area I make a point of checking for special rates and playing this unique course. The only problem is that every time...yes every time I reserve a tee time on-line there is confusion at check in. One year they would not honour the advertised rate until I showed them their website on my phone with the rate. There were ten of us on a golf vacation and at $20.00 difference each it adds up fast. The group in front of us had the same problem and paid the extra. One year the special was all you could play late in the afternoon but at check in we were informed that that deal was no longer valid. Out came the phone again with the web page proof. This year the person behind the desk couldn't find my Golf Now reservation/payment and tried to charge me the full price. Thank God a young kid stepped in and found the reservations and cleared things up. I have never overpaid the advertised price but it is always after much confusion and a small battle that I get what was promised. It is irritating to say the least and it takes at least two beautiful holes of golf before you wipe it out of your memory. It would be easy to say it was just me causing all the problems but I never have these problems at other courses in the area. Bottom line even with the hassles I keep coming back to play. It is that nice and that much fun to play.
Great value
Fun course to play with interesting holes. A good challenge
Amazing Day
I have played this course many times over the years but this day was off the charts in every way. Perhaps all the planets were aligned or something but I also shot the best round of my life which just made it all that much better.
