Lost Tracks Golf Club
About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

Hole 11 @ Lost Tracks Photo submitted by odysseycustom on 05/27/2014
Cold and wet
It rained earlier that and it was in the. Height 50s. Played alone in 2.4 hours. I really enjoy this course.
Greens not green
Everything else was really nice, the fact that there was no marshall etiquette was lost by some groups. Playing through was not an option.
nice public course
Lost Tracks is a decent course at the south end of Bend. It is kept in good condition. A good value.
Delightful
I really liked the design of the course; challenging but not punitive. Just enough elevation to keep it interesting and fun with a lot of semi-blind shots. I was glad to be playing with a couple locals. Course was in good shape for fall, with the exception of a couple greens. A lot of fun. You gotta like doglegs though.
Nice Course & Layout - Got Sand?
This course has a nice layout and is somewhat forgiving. There are opportunities for birdies but some of the greens can be challenging. The greens are a little rough since many players are not fixing their ball marks. The biggest issue is the sand traps are rock hard and it seems like they have not added sand in years...so stay out of the beach!
A lot of potential
The course is fun to play, it became really run down a few years ago but has been getting a better this year. Greens are just ok, but the rest of the course is fantastic.
All of the staff is great except for every once in a while Stephenie will be working the font desk and I think she's the owner or manager. She's been rude and unprofessional on a few occasions. I was talking to them about a membership until my last meeting with Stephenie , sadly I'll be looking elsewhere for my membership.
The best part of Lost Tracks is Bob Garza, their director of instruction is the best in Central Oregon. I've seen a few different PGA pro's here and Bob the best around.
A must to play.
Great course, always in great condition. I always play this course when visiting Bend, Oregon.
Extremely slow players
We followed two extremely slow players who would not let us play through. The fellas behind us kept up to us so we felt pushed the whole time. Not a fun round. In 20/20 hindsight we should have gone around them, skipped the par 3 and we would have enjoyed it much more.
Great Course
Loved the course. Fairways and greens were is great condition. Really enjoyed my round there. A lot of dog leg holes both right and left. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys playing a challenging course in good condition.
Favorite central oregon course
The course is always in great shape and friendly staff. I really enjoy the layout w/ great variety of holes. The practice facility is just right, and conveniently near pro shop and 1st tee. Fun/good course!
Very proud
This is a nice course with slow greens. They are proud of it it for 79$ though. Pace was kinda slow 5 hr round.
All ways a great choice!
This course is all ways in great shape. The greens are all ways even in speed. And all ways forgiven for everyone no matter the experience of the golfer.
Friendly Staff - very welcoming
Tee boxes and greens were in great shape - I appreciated the tee boxes are numbered instead of colored so you just choose what is comfortable for your game (male or female does not matter) YEAH!
Electric cart used and it died on the 9th hole. I took it as a sign to stop (pace of play was painfully slow) and go enjoy a beverage in the beautiful clubhouse. Very friendly staff helped me load my clubs back in my car. Definitely would recommend to friends and plan to come back. Probably play in the AM instead of the afternoon:)
Course going donwhill fast!
Played the course for the first time since last year. The course was in terrible shape. The fairways were dry and had hard spots and bad spots everywhere. The greens had been aerated recently and were awful. Most of the holes did not have sand in them so they rolled terrible. Glad we got a good deal or I would be very mad.
Fun-challenging course
Surprisingly not busy at 11am on a beautiful Saturday! A group of slow players in front were a bit of a hindrance but it gave us time to look at the mountains and beautiful vistas. Lots of dog legs to keep you on your toes! All in all a fun round!
Played to early in the year
Winter conditions were prevalent. Greens had been recently sanded. Lots of areas of the fairway Are in poor condition. Hopefully things will improve as the weather improves in Central Oregon.
