About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

Rough greens
The weather this past winter has been really hard on the central Oregon golf courses! Lost Tracks is no exception. Beautiful course, views etc but the greens are in really tough shape:(. I’m sure it will be better in a few weeks with this run of warmer weather

Greens were un put table on 9 of the holes
Course was good but greens were un playable on 9 of the wholes. Way too slow and under repair

Bad Greens
First and last time I will ever play there. They should fire the greens keeper and hire a course marshal.
These were the worst greens I have ever paid good money to play. See the picture below. This is typical for 12 of the 18 greens.
Played other courses with in 5 miles that had good greens.
The pace of play was 5 hours and 15 minutes.
$82 for this is terrible. They should let patrons know the conditions for $82

Disappointed
This is such a great track but the greens are in horrible condition. Most are dying, bumpy and unplayable.
Don’t waste your money. The greens are so bad and yet they are charging full pop.

The course has Lost it’s way.
They were an hour behind schedule. I asked to hop on the back because I was alone, and they said no. I ended up just leaving because there were 20 people ahead of me and I was already an hour late off the tee. They had no carts for anyone, the owner continued lying to people when they were paying. They never once said they were behind to anyone and the only reason I found out was from a cart boy.
I heard they were selling and it really shows with how little they care about their patrons. They’ve lost my business forever. I’ve been going there for almost 10 years and was a member in previous years. It is not the same place at all.

Good value and scenery
Pretty nice spot and decent layout, but the greens are abysmal (at least as of May 2023). Unfortunate, otherwise a pretty nice day out!

Course conditions
These had to be the worst greens I have played in Central Oregon. The staff didn’t even bother to let us know, they just wanted our money. Our annual group won’t be back.

Lost several strokes on the greens
Hard winter and lots of snow. Course will take awhile to get back to normal.
Great layout, poor greens
The green complexes were in horrible shape. Lots of dead patchy/bumpy spots on the greens from snow/ice damage. They probably were not covered over the winter. Some greens were punched but not sanded. Putting was a nightmare.
Golf is getting expensive and it's expected to not know how the greens are before you pay and play them. It's disappointing to see places charging $60+ for greens like this...

Fungus among us
Most of the greens were heavily damaged by what looks like to me a fungus infection. The rest of the course was in ok shape. Interesting course, with a dog leg on most holes.

DON’T GO ON THE WEEKEND
We were sent out on 10. Played the first 9 holes in 2 hours, so very good. When we made the turn to go to #1, there was a group in the fairway, a foursome on the tee, a threesome waiting, the threesome ahead of us decided to quit, and then our twosome. I think they started sending out groups on 1 before those who had been sent out made the turn. They never have a Marshall or a starter.
May try the course again in 3-4 weeks, but never again on a weekend.

Wait for Summer.
Have always liked this course but it was in awful condition following the winter and early Spring. Paying $78 to play was a stretch but was a terrible price for the shape the greens were in. The club house also needs some restoration in the rest rooms. The experience was sub par.

Had a tough winter

Too Early in the season to golf Lost Tracks
Lost Tracks Golf course is getting into the swing of Central Oregon golf. The course is very rough, needs a lot of fertilizer and water, and the greens are in need of HELP. The greens are white spotted and uneven. Not smooth. We were disappointed in the greens. We understand the course just lost its snow 10 days ago and expected the fairways to be rough. However, the greens are the worst I’ve ever played.
Also, there was no drinking water on the course, no Refreshment Cart of the course (84 degrees!) and the bathrooms were locked up. Lost Tracks didn’t seem quite ready to open to the public. I’d wait another month, before golfing at Lost Tracks. Not impressed!

Review of Lost Tracks Golf Course
Overall course was pretty well cleaned up and prepared for the season. Course restrooms still locked. Bunkers in fine condition. Greens, though, suffering from “nickle spot” fungus splotching yielding uneven rolls.

There was no one at the course unsure if it was closed.
No staff, no play
Multiple groups of players had showed up to play on Thanksgiving morning, but no staff showed up at the course. Unfortunately no play. No information on their website about the course being closed. Trying calling as well, no answer or any information stating the course was closed. Also sent a message using the email address found on their website, but received a bounce back stating that the address did not exist.
