About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

DON’T GO ON THE WEEKEND
We were sent out on 10. Played the first 9 holes in 2 hours, so very good. When we made the turn to go to #1, there was a group in the fairway, a foursome on the tee, a threesome waiting, the threesome ahead of us decided to quit, and then our twosome. I think they started sending out groups on 1 before those who had been sent out made the turn. They never have a Marshall or a starter.
May try the course again in 3-4 weeks, but never again on a weekend.
Wait for Summer.
Have always liked this course but it was in awful condition following the winter and early Spring. Paying $78 to play was a stretch but was a terrible price for the shape the greens were in. The club house also needs some restoration in the rest rooms. The experience was sub par.

Had a tough winter

Greens are in real rough conditions. Its early on into the season, but theyre going to need alot of work.
Too Early in the season to golf Lost Tracks
Lost Tracks Golf course is getting into the swing of Central Oregon golf. The course is very rough, needs a lot of fertilizer and water, and the greens are in need of HELP. The greens are white spotted and uneven. Not smooth. We were disappointed in the greens. We understand the course just lost its snow 10 days ago and expected the fairways to be rough. However, the greens are the worst I’ve ever played.
Also, there was no drinking water on the course, no Refreshment Cart of the course (84 degrees!) and the bathrooms were locked up. Lost Tracks didn’t seem quite ready to open to the public. I’d wait another month, before golfing at Lost Tracks. Not impressed!

Review of Lost Tracks Golf Course
Overall course was pretty well cleaned up and prepared for the season. Course restrooms still locked. Bunkers in fine condition. Greens, though, suffering from “nickle spot” fungus splotching yielding uneven rolls.

There was no one at the course unsure if it was closed.
No staff, no play
Multiple groups of players had showed up to play on Thanksgiving morning, but no staff showed up at the course. Unfortunately no play. No information on their website about the course being closed. Trying calling as well, no answer or any information stating the course was closed. Also sent a message using the email address found on their website, but received a bounce back stating that the address did not exist.

Dog tracks
Challenging course, they really like dog legs here.
The island green was a nice, loved the bridge. The cart paths could use some attention. Nice carts.
Found lost tracks
Course was in fine condition including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cuts. Greens pretty quick(~12). All sand was clean , dry and graded. No over watering observed. Yardage markers could be more visible. Will definitely tell people about this experience.
First time, won't be last
First ones out on the course. Still had dew every where. Course layout is good and absolutely beautiful. Could use a little TLC but over all, it was a great round. Even had 4 bucks eating leaves within 25 of a tee box. Tons of geese and squirrels.
Effort
I know things are hard now…But. Worst range balls ever. Must have been rejects from municipal range in Texas mix of ten year old range balls and found balls they couldn’t sell. Club washer on range dry as well as ball washers on course. Small things like this make people want to come back or not..

Good but could be much better
Really nice layout in beautiful spot. This place is staff “light” no bag staff, course marshals, restaurant, etc. Also, It was a five hour round.
Course is well maintained but a little rough around the edges i.e. no water in club washer, ball washers, some trash, tee boxes beaten, and and divot bottles that are empty. Restaurant did not have AC below 78. What staff they did have was very friendly.
With a little attention to detail this could be a top rated course in Bend.
