Golfer Reviews
Challenging course. Ample hazards but not overpowering enough to spoil the round.
Being from Florida and not accustom to the hilly layout walking the course proved to be a bit difficult and probably accounted for some of the difficulties I experienced. The course itself was a real beauty. Fairway and greens were in excellent shape. I highly recommend this course if in the area.
Nice round of golf
Well spaced groups, well maintained greens. This was the fastest I've ever played there. Usually there are long waits on holes at Forest Hills. This day was a very appreciated exception. The Hills Burger was delicious!
Too many tee times booked. At one point there were 4 groups on a tee box.
Also I booked for a tee time of 13:40 but when I arrived I told I was wrong and my tee time was actually 14:40. I showed them my reservation(17031235 ) and the only thing they could do was send me straight to the tee box without any warm up or the range balls which were included.
Forest Hills is well maintained.
My foursome plays Forest Hills occasionally and enjoy the challenge. The fairways are green and well cared for. The greens are tricky to putt but are pretty well maintained. Overall the course is interesting and challenging for a 15 handicap.
this course has great features
good for everyone n the green is good......................
Spectacular Beauty!
The setting of this course in the rolling farmlands of the Tualatin Valley make just getting there worth the trip. This is a great "Oregon" golf course with mature trees, lush bent grass fairways, and perfect greens. If you like to play beautiful courses, you will not be disappointed here.
New to Oregon
This course has very diverse and beautiful holes. Sometimes appreciating the beauty cost me a few strokes but that is why I play - not the score.
If you've never played here before you won't be sorry you spent your money.
Good Course
Sand traps are a bit hard and packed. Course was well groomed and the greens moderately fast. The grass leading up to the greens was short, cut and fast.
A difficult set up due to prior tournaments
The greens were overly unpredictable and fast. A couple of them the ball came back to your - I think that is way too fast and dry for scrub level golf. T
Good, but could be better
Fairways were in good shape, greens were in great shape. Ponds/water hazards were horrible. Sandwich from restaurant was excellent. GolfNow rate was a bargin @ $21, as opposed to the $36 standard rate. Shot my best round ever.
Course has firm greens and good pin placement
I have played this course in the past. Greens were firm, the course was in great shape. Challenging water off the tees makes the course play more exciting. Must play in the fairway to par. The long par three, 4th hole is a blast.
Another great day on the course
Had a great time playing this course. Got paired with 2 others and we had no one in front of us. Played quick, could see this course taking some time on the weekends. Course was well maintained and the greens played well.
Great day to play golf
Had a great time
the course is in an excellent condition
the green was in a perfect speed
only down side, the beverage lady went home sick after the 3rd hole :(
Love the price of the course it is worth it!
This is 1st time in 2 years that I played a real course (getting over the shanks and the monster between the ears). In the past I always played this course and thought of becoming a full member. Keep up the good work!
Greenest course I have ever played on, totally lush and beautiful.
After playing there once I couldn't wait to come back. Well maintained greens and fairways with the right balance of sand, water and tree challenge. The stately old trees are majestic and give great character to the course. The staff are friendly and helpful. Forest Hills has become a course to be played on a regular basis.
Very scenic, interesting couse to play.
The fairways and rough had been aerated the previous Monday, but were already in good condition. Some of the fringe areas around the greens were a little tufted up making chipping a challenge, but then the idea is to hit the greens. This is probably my favorite course in the Portland area.
Greens were in excellent shape
The greens were in pristine condition, very fast and true. I played early and was done in 3 hours. What more can one ask for.
Fair
Was disappointed they didn't let us know they were plugging the fairways. Would have liked a heads up before I booked the tee time. It Was hard pushing a cart for 18 holes threw that mess.
immaculately maintained
The holes were a beautiful mixture of shape and design which allowed for a seamless, fun morning of golf.
