About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Great Day to Be "Sick" & Play A Round
First time back to SLGC in quite some time even though it's 2 blocks from my home. Pace of play was EXCELLENT. Round took about 4-1/4 hrs. This was great time for this very busy course. Nice day, great weather. Didn't play well. Only my 3rd time out since last August due to pandemic. However, my swing was finding it's way on the back nine. Hopefully, my next time out brings further improvement. Will try Silver Lake again since the pace seems to be better than in past years. Had an * AM tee time, so earlier the better. Don't let the yardage fool you. It's a challenging track. Groundskeeping team was working hard to maintain the course.

Loved it!
Course played very well compared to the jammed pack courses in the area. Course was in great condition especially the greens. The staff was very friendly. I left my rangefinder on the cart and never thought I’d see it again. Not only did they hold it for me, they mailed it back free of charge! Will definitely be back!

The courses are pretty good
my reservation tee-off time was 1:01pm but I actualy tee-off about 2pm and played back 9 holes twice due to tournament is in progress front 9 holes
