South Shore Golf Course

Just go to nj to golf the staff are terrible they let anything go honestly don't waste your time

Tee boxes were dirt. Sands traps not maintained. No on course water or cart beverages on a 90 degree day

The course is my favorite course for many reasons. The tee boxes and the greens need major work done. Idk how people can be expected to pay $60 on a weekday and $100 on a weekend to play in these conditions. Have to either bless your golfers with a price reduction or keep the course at an immaculate level. This is coming from a golfer who loves SS.

Course is fun but the grounds need work

This course requires an investment to revitalize it. Tee boxes and greens especially on back 9 infested with sand hornets. Some trees need to be trimmed back. Golf carts are near end of life. Short course. Price reflects a course for this difficulty level should be near pristine condition

Course requires a ton of investment to get it where it needs to be. It’s inundated with sand hornets especially on the back 9 greens. Tee boxes are in poor shape. Golf carts are showing their age. For the price they continue to charge it should be in better shape

One of the poorest kept greens. Sand isn't sand. Hornets or wasps were burrowing nests under the greens, every putt is a life/death situation. Serious need course maintenance overhaul.

The staff at south shore golf course were outstanding, the course seemed run down with bare tee boxes ,muddy bunkers ,decent fairways and greens but looked like cicadas dug holes on the 13 th green, I guess American golf has decided to neglect the courses here on the island and I can’t wait till the new owners take over and improve the condition like silver lake

Course could have been better kept. Tee boxes are beat up, fairways have dead patches. In the middle of our round the sprinklers started going off. Not worth the price we paid.

Tee boxes below average greens haven’t been rolled and are very slow

Course was good, pace of play good, but they need to fix the AC in the bathroom (no uriinals, all broken) and tidy up the inside a bit. Food in clubhouse is good.

You do notice the ball marks on greens, not sure how you can fix dents, how about just stand by your ball?? No need for ball markers - not too many pros there. Newer golfer, but sure if 80 bucks gets you much better on Staten Island.

Also, no staff at front desk, guy out to corral carts…maybe he doesn’t want to he in there because no AC..

Add a driving range…somewhere…like a bar at a restaurant…if they are waiting, they may buy a bucket and practice.
