Real Poor course conditions. Slow pace of play.
One of the poorest kept greens. Sand isn't sand. Hornets or wasps were burrowing nests under the greens, every putt is a life/death situation. Serious need course maintenance overhaul.
Great staff
The staff at south shore golf course were outstanding, the course seemed run down with bare tee boxes ,muddy bunkers ,decent fairways and greens but looked like cicadas dug holes on the 13 th green, I guess American golf has decided to neglect the courses here on the island and I can’t wait till the new owners take over and improve the condition like silver lake
Fair conditions
Course could have been better kept. Tee boxes are beat up, fairways have dead patches. In the middle of our round the sprinklers started going off. Not worth the price we paid.
Close to home and convenient
Course was good, pace of play good, but they need to fix the AC in the bathroom (no uriinals, all broken) and tidy up the inside a bit. Food in clubhouse is good.
You do notice the ball marks on greens, not sure how you can fix dents, how about just stand by your ball?? No need for ball markers - not too many pros there. Newer golfer, but sure if 80 bucks gets you much better on Staten Island.
Also, no staff at front desk, guy out to corral carts…maybe he doesn’t want to he in there because no AC..
Add a driving range…somewhere…like a bar at a restaurant…if they are waiting, they may buy a bucket and practice.
First Time Iut 2022
Nice track. Gentle rolling hills. Golfers should be better at repairing green pitch marks. Maintenance staff should maintain and spruce up bunkers. As long as you stay out of them your good! Tee time was 1227. Finished at 445 —- and that was with letting 2some behind us play through. No waiting at any holes. Pace of play was good. Snack shop was adequate for a burger and bet.

Really should pay more attention to cleanliness. Went out at 12 pm and almost every trash can was overflowing?
Why spoil a good course...disrespectful and not a new problem?
Covid is no longer an excuse. Beyond that a handsome course.
The best course was in good shape
Course was in good shape I haven't played there in a year I got the deal on teeoff.com I guess I was lucky no waiting went right on and pace of play after 12:30 was excellent
